we have to look at a 2005 Toyota Highlander that was towed in as a stalling, ABS/Brake light, no speedometer, not shifting, cooling fan stays on and can't get out of gear complaint. oh did I mention it is not charging either and the battery is dead! After an initial assessment we focus on one issue and it quickly goes up in smoke leading us right to the problem

Electrical problems are the work of Satan. and I'm not that religious. While in the Navy, we avoided having the tweets (Avionics Technicians) and sparks (Aviation Electrical Technicians) around us too much because odd electrical problems would happen and these two groups of dweebs would offer no cure or repair procedure. because the correction of the problem was always more than they were trained to do in their initial Navy training school in their job after boot camp. They were always odd and weird and nerdish anyway. and it was rare that any spark chaser made the grade into the living and normal and pleasant and acceptable circles of squidly behavior.

Fans are in series for rad cooling when needed. When AC on the stay on in series with each other. Ac has Liquid line sensor, high enough pressure fans go direct 12 volt each. When rad cooling the fans will go on off in series circuit ( low speed on each) the reason they so this is for even air flow across condenser, radiator. They have done on most all their vehicles for years. If one fan fail other will run on high speed.

Ive had corrosion in connectors create resistance which caused connectors to get toasty and start to melt together. Luckly caught it in time before it went up in smoke. Was have regulator/retifier issues on my atv.

Great video and repair, that test light had a great vise grip ground, where did you find that great featured test light or was that an accessory from the tool truck.
