Well he gave you a valid reason for fixing it. 60, 000 for a new one versus 3000 in Parts Plus your labor. It's a bargain for beating up on the farm. Great Diagnostics as usual. When you started on the taillights I started thinking how it's a ground fault! You're training me well! I'll be honest I slept my troubleshooting skills Slide the last few years. And want to work on things I haven't paid attention as well as I could to details. Watching your videos have motivated me to do a better job when I'm doing my little things around the house and improved my troubleshooting skills. At least it's getting him back to where they were. In my field main frames, I could give you a run for your money and then some. To be honest with you if I got you as a young man your first computer job in a Mainframe environment yeah, I give you six months and you would be kicking ass. I've trained some really dull sporks over the years and got them for they could at least operate the system somewhat competently. You would be breaking it down like I could very easily. You would develop a feel for how a systems running very quickly. where the hell were you when I was training people for Mainframe environments? Probably running around on your bicycle are your skateboard or running around on the farm making a pain in the butt of yourself.

I apologize for the English errors, as I am using the google translator.
I'm having problems with the gear selector, for example: when I put [P] the indicator on the mark panel that is in [R].
Another more complicated defect, when the truck is at + - 50 km / h at exactly 1500 RPM in 3rd gear, it goes back to 2nd without any need, now this problem can be related to the first problem mentioned above?
Note the mechanic passed the scanner and in 3 graphics presented by the scanner, the RPM and torque behaved like this:
grafico1: 750RPM
grafico2: 790RPM
grafico3: 770RPM
on the panel the RPM is normal. The torque is always oscillating on the scanner
obs. last month I changed the master kit, changed the solenoids, governor sensor, changed the oil etc. all the American Mopar components, and even then the problem persists.

Those are the best kind of customer, people who know what a dollar is worth and don't just throw it away on a new vehicle every time their old one needs fixed.
FWIW, these trucks still have the same failures when they are equipped to mall cruiser status like they usually are around here in the PNW (huge/useless lift, huge/useless tires. Even without the rust, the front end still falls out. Or even when they are stock really. I used to work for the state motor pool and they had a bunch of 2500s (with the Hemi) and they would all have the same issues, especially the front axle u-joints seizing up and making the steering bind.

UNPLUG THAT high freq noise generator that some times puts out 14 volts. the noise filter cqp is weak by design, years ago the real mopar alternators had a filter cap the size of your Thumb.
this noise goes through battery (no perfect filter ) and strait to power train compooper then to dash inst panel
Trans shift computer modual
heater door control modual.

That model year for Cummins (04-06) were the high output pre-emission 5. 9l (I have one. You can't get them anymore. The farmer probably knows this, as well as the bazillion dollars that the new truck cost. Having you toss 3, 000 worth of parts in it with ca. 140, 000 miles in it is really nothing compared with his alternatives (if he wishes to stay in a diesel.

I am a heavy equipment tech and a coworker is working an aerial boom that requires annual inspection. He has spent probably 12 - 14 hours on it just finding problems and trying to diagnose them to give the customer a quote. so far he is at like 40 + hours for repair.

I was a Chrysler tech for 3 years and my biggest struggle (aside from ridiculous warranty labor times) was lack of information when it came to wiring and electrical diag. It was such a steep learning curve. Diagrams were shit and the service info was worse.

It's a Chrysler product probably the lowest quality maker of American cars. You'll always have business from Chrysler products. You could have also put a small bead of Permantex Black Silicone on that socket instead of the zip tie to hold it in place.

Cant believe how bad things rust and corrode back there. Considering it likely spends a lot of time on rough roads and dirt, wheel bearings, ball joints, front axle Us would be expected maintenance imho. And as he said new trucks can easily cost 60, 000
