Or for 40 more swap the whole half shaft for a reman and save yourself 2 hours a ton of cleaner fluid, rags, etc. Have never had a reman that didnt last a minimum of 110k. Have personally owned more than 32 cars and it has always made infinitely more sense to just swap the axle.

I love the off-hand comments in the vids here, ( Shmoove as Buttah! ) Whether Bogart or Cagney version they work great on the customers confidence in your work, if they happen to be there listening. Keep wrenchin, and thanks for the vids.

Hi Eric, what is your opinion on using CV joint grease(like you did in the video) for inner tripod joint with needle bearings? I was told that cv joint grease should not be used for tripod joints. Have you ever had any issues? Thanks.

Thanks for the video, SUPER helpful after I just finished replacing the outer boot on a 2012 ML350 where the replacement half shaft is around 1000. Keep up the great work. I would never have guessed how the CV joint came off otherwise.

Speaking of Bambi. I have a question. My son asked me and I had no clue what the answer was. I watched the movie twice before I figured it out. Is Bambi a boy or a girl? They do say it in the movie.

Zip tied a boot on once, on an 06 exploder. Still holding to this day. Gonna be my push/pull truck for the shop in about May here since it lacks rockers completely at this point.

If you could get the new inner and outer, you will have refurbished the shaft for a fraction of the cost of a replacement in the same amount of time you took to replace the boots.
