Dodge Dakota: Rear Wheel Studs & E-Brake Shoes WreckDiver99: I despise electronic parking brakes. Back 40 years ago I was taught that your emergency brake can be used if you lose brake power. Never needed it until I did. Blew a brake line and had to use the emergency brake to get me home. Can't do that with these electric e-brakes. Yep, I guess I'm that one other guy that uses the parking brake. glad I did, or I would have ended up in the middle of a busy intersection with a mess of an accident.

I understand I made an appointment in November of 2020 to have a new engine transmission replace the full-time four-wheel drive transfer case with a new processor 205 put in front locking hubs and get the drive shafts done and it is now July 2021 I ended up going and getting my back my truck. when I asked why it took so long the young lady at the counter said that he kept pushing my truck back for the people who is his bread and butter. He proceeded to break berate her in front of me telling her that she knew who the people were that were his bread and butter and paid their bills in the winter time as I was standing there listening to this. I thought I was the bread and butter because I lived here also and you know if you would have taken his time and done a little here a little there the time would not have been an issue. I didn't need to drive it but the fact is is that he is bawling her telling her who their bread and butter was. I asked for my truck back and all the parts that I had already purchased and took it home and decided to spend the money on building my new garage in the backyard so that I can do it myself. I don't have a full size garage only on one car garage and a driveway. it's really hard being my age working on the ground putting transmissions and transfer cases in where a lift and the proper jacking would make it a whole lot easier but I do understand you're busy

Ok not to be a smarta. in coming smarta comment but someone with your popularity could call you local government and put suggestions in to change those regulations and laws, explain to them the changes and safety issues with their current laws. I know unpopular opinion to add to those regulations but just my two cents that doesn't mean anything.

Youre just doing your job and covering your rear end. Say you pass that inspection and something happens like the wheel flys off or something and an investigation shows you passed it when it shouldn't have been. I'd sure hate to see you get in a lot of trouble. Youre an honest guy that does the right thing.

I live in New York and depending how you look at it I guess I m lucky or not because my mechanic doesn t even take m y wheels off my car anymore he just looked quickly through it to see if I have brakes or not! Then maybe I slipped a few extra dollars

NeverSneeze is the glitter of the auto shop. Q: If three people are working in the shop and one of them unscrews the lid on the NeverSneeze jar, how many people have NeverSneeze on their hands? A: Five.

You talked about it getting ugly if the pins that locate the brake shoe breaks. I can confirm that, it happened to my Grand Cherokee, and it did a lot of damage, it also made it difficult to remove it.

16: 57 While holding the nail from behind with your finger, just grab the edges of the clip with a pair of pliers, push in and turn the clip not the nail. Much easier. No special tools needed.

Our driveway has a gentle slope to it, just enough if you don't leave it in gear (manual trans) and don't set the e-brake, it will roll away. Don't ask me how I know.
