Honda CRV: Rear Door Lock Actuators / Latches Robert: Seems like kind of a cheesy setup for that replacement part from Honda. They should have just included that foam on the new part rather than make you peel it off the old one and it likely breaking apart in the process.

Hi Eric, I have just picked up a 21 plate Honda CR-V Hybrid SR spec and the fuel economy is mind blowing as around town I'm getting 53. 8 MPG this is my first Honda but won't be my last it's a great car infact I had a Ford Focus 1. 0L 3 pot STX on a 18 plate and could only just about manage 44. 0 MPG so Honda leaves the ford standing in every respect. I have become a Honda fan boy but I don't see many on the roads in the UK that being Merseyside but is a massive hit in the USA along with the Toyota RAV 4 and just for some prespective Honda have sold 9 Million CR-V's world wide thats a big number for one model from one brand. In the the UK and world wide the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV 4 go head to head for me Honda wins. Best Wishes Alan B ( UK, Merseyside ) xx A great video Eric and you do have a way with words and god you make me laugh some times I have tears runing down my face you should consider stand up. xx

You haven't done a door lock actuator until you've done one on a Mercedes GLK-350. I still have nightmares from that experience. The most unnecessarily complicated, frightful and agonizing job I have ever attempted. It took me hours in the driveway to get it just right. Getting it all to line up with the bolt holes and aligning the window glass was awful. . It finally worked out and it felt like it was Christmas. I will never do another one EVER.

A buddy of mine legitimately needed a diesel one ton pickup. He liked my '06 Dodge. But he wanted a deal. So he called me and said, Guess what I just bought! . To which I replied, Please don't tell my you bought a 6. 0 Ford. Well that is exactly what he had done. True story. The thing didn't even make it the 200 miles home. The dealer fixed it but his troubles/adventure/money spending had only just begun.

You kill me with your descriptions of stuff. I was a marine diesel mechanic for 50 years, I wish you had been on my crew. I'd tell new guys to hook the Do Wa on the Diddy Diddy. All I got were blank stares, you would have known exactly what needed to be done. Good fun, don't let the basturds get you down. Can I say that?

When putting a screw back into plastic or wood, I always turn it backwards until I feel it drop down into the pre-existing threads. I haven t had a problem with the screw trying to cut new threads since I started doing that 30 years ago. Well, as long as I was putting the same (right) screw back in. Lol.

Had to change the driver door lock actuator on my wife's old Dodge Journey. The only reason I was able to figure it out is because I work in an auto factory, and I spent just enough time on the door line to have a general idea of how the whole thing is put together. Great video!

now, why does that non-JIS screwdriver in the shirt pocket look dangerous. and don't Bogart that joint. one also wonders if someones son/daughter might be in a bit of trouble if a parent happened to watch this vidjeo. cause, ya don't drive from the right rear. 101 for the tool box

Mr, Eric O, please don't try to tell me you never used a screwdriver as a hammer. We all been there, all ya got so turn it around and use the handle as a striking device. Hell I have used one to wack another in a hammer punch type combo.

Had my 6. 0 studded, reg return, 68mm power max, tuned ficm, Warren 190s, and a built transmission. Never had a issue. Great trucks if you know what your doing. Now if you wanna talk about junk look at the 6. 4 lol
