Sell your car for free with Carwow: Porsche’s mini SUV has had a major revamp for 2024, and there’s one key difference - it’s gone fully ELECTRIC! Now that might sound like a bad thing to some but Porsche being Porsche has gone all out on the engineering of the new Macan. Let’s have a closer look shall we. On the outside Porsche has done what they usually do and kept the design pretty similar to the previous car but still made some notable changes. Starting at the front the grille has been swapped for a larger lower air intake, and the new headlights are almost exactly the same as the Taycan. From the side there’s not a huge difference to the current Macan but you can start to see one big change they have actually made. And that of course is the rear, you now have a much more squat looking rear-end which helps with the aerodynamics of the car, whether it looks better or not, we’ll leave that up to you. On the inside the new Macan is again pretty similar to the Taycan, but that’s no bad thing is it The driver gets a high resolution curved display as well as a large infotainment screen in the centre of the dash. Even the front passenger gets their own display that is perfect for watching Carwow on. Then of course getting rid of the ICE version of the Macan does has some benefits, one of those being, performance. The entry-level dual-motor can produce 408hp, while the top-of-the-range Turbo can put down 640hp and an mind bending 1, 130Nm of torque - that’s 80Nm more than the Taycan Turbo S! Porsche also claims it should be able to hit 60mph in just 3. 3 seconds but we’ll see what it can really do in this video! The new Macan will start at around 70, 000, rising to around 95, 000 for the Turbo edition. But is it worth it! You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself! To have a budget of a luxury car company such as Porsche and to have the technology to make the car as safe as m prefer to make their product seem a little cheaper just to sell cars I’m a huge huge huge Porsche fan but that’s a real telltale!
Reason maybe is because Porsche spent a lot in developing macan EV AND the RRP on the whole lineup has increased a lot, so they made a choice to reduce standard gear, coz increasing rrp wasn’t allowed at all and they had budget to meet.
Porsche budget:
Make a minimum of
$$$$ but they can’t just increase
$$$$ RRP it’s already too high over previous macan, so all they can do is reduce the cost to build the VEHICLE by reducing standard kit.
PORSCHe development staff/team hmmm why can we take out that customers so really care or notice/ not important to the usual Porsche customer. hmmmm bingo!

Porsche are the master of charging for options that are standard in entry level cars.
And what is with the electrically deployed tow ball that is only electrically deployed (and retracted) half way Why bother! It would be like having an electrical tail gate that only opens half way and then you still need to lift it up manually for the second half.
The obsession with electric options is getting out of control.

All I will say is. as much as you all hate electric vehicles. companies like Porsche (and any automaker tbh) pay people big money to research the demographic of Porsche buyers. and their studies probably conclude that Electric will sell more than petrol. If you’re angry at the electric Porsche. SURPRISE. youre not the target audience

I don't like the look of it in the thumbnail (3/4ths view, however i do like the running lights and headlights, it's odd but cool. I also love all the customizations, which is a nice touch to include in your videos btw. I think i might like Polestar's exterior design better overall. Also, the nickel and diming is ridiculous

Better, lower seating position, and that interior is great. A Frunk to boot. I love it! Expect it to set Porsche sales records everywhere. If only they had another available factory as I understand Leipzig is at maximum capacity now. This is the car that will keep Porsche profitable for years to come.

I don't know a single person that has a charging station at home. And there are very few in my city. No one ever brings this up in reviews. How are people charging all these electric vehicles I won't own one any time soon.

It should have offered an EV option but the focus should have been ICE because bateries are what Porsche not known for. Part of the whole experience is the engine. Previous Macan GTS what a car! It will be missed!

I don’t know if going totally electric for their money making entry model was a smart idea. Everyone doesn’t want an EV the Macan and Cayenne go back and forth between being the companies best sellers. Odd decision.

Why not hide the rear camera under the spoiler. Where is the roof spoiler That would make the look less bald. There is so many ugly and wrong details witch make me question about is Porsches head of design fit to job.

If the new Porsche badge was mono-chrome, it would only be one colour or you'd just see a silver or black badge. But it clearly has two colours. The dark silver and black.
So it's bi-chrome or dual-chrome. _DOH_

Putting 'turbo' in an electric car's name feels like a paradox. It's like selling safety but making airbags optionalthese features should come standard if you care about your customers, not just their wallets!

The naked platform gives us an understanding of the vulnerability of so many components including the battery pack in an accident. How about a hybrid
How is over 3 tons environmentally friendly

Another scam that will cost 30% less the moment you get the key from it. Didn't even waste my time to watch the full video. But thanks for your work Matt. I know that you HAVE to test this cars.

It’s the best EV suv so shortlist it in case you prefer burning down the planet This thing is a marvel just recommend people come into 2024 and buy it it’s not 1996 anymore fossil is ending!

The 4 driving modes: Quiet, Quieter, Very Quiet and Ultra Quiet! Too bad cause a good part of the character of this vehicle and all vehicle, engine revving, will be gone!
reply

EVs suck! I bet the values drop like a rock within just a couple years. Who wants to deal with a godawful charging infrastructure and range issues And with all batteries it's HEAVY!
reply

If this Macan is fully electric, how does its turbocharger work without the exhaust gases leaving the engine which it doesn't have Or is the Turbo badge false advertising
reply

An electric Macan What an awful idea.
I just stopped the video immediately after he said it's electric.
All electric vehicles are hideous and a scam done for woke people.

reply

I want to to replace my Macan diesel by a GTS because I miss the engine sound. I will see if they release a new ICE later (if the EV sales are not good as Porsche said)
reply

What's up with the Germans. BMWs with kidney grills, EQS weirdly looks like a Chinese car. New 2024 Macan super ugly as well. Have the Germans lost touch
