New Suzuki Swift Sport 2019 review --see why it-s the most fun you can have on a budget

I've owned one of these (pre-hybrid model / colour: mineral grey) for 10 months and covering 7000 miles so far, please allow me to add to this great review a 'living with' update:
Good:
-It will never, ever, fail to make you smile. Even if you've had the worst day work, a fiery drive home in this will be a complete mood booster and you'll wonder what you were annoyed about.
- Due to the very low weight and high torque output, ignore the stats, in the real world on British roads it's really quite the little beast and will embarrass quite serious 'prestige' machinery even at motorway speeds. Honestly, once you've got used to the gearbox and the power delivery, a good double-clutch down from 60mph into 4th on to the boost you will be amazed. Which brings me onto:
- I don't agree with all the reviewers who belittle the performance saying -you can play with the car safely within the speed limit- As per above, in the real world & flat out this car breaches most speed limits before you're even into 4th gear
- It really does look superb. It passes the -parking up, walking away and looking back at it- test, if that makes sense? It's aesthetically pleasing.
Bad:
-Infotainment system is a bit pony. It's slow, looks naff and is frustrating to use.
-The standard Continental Conti Sport 5 tyres aren't really a good match for it, they encourage the understeer, Michelin Pilot Sport 4's are far superior on this car, but they're not cheap.
-Personally, I don't like the driving position, you can't sit low enough in the car + it's just generally all wrong, plus the front passenger seat doesn't even height adjust so unless they recline like they're on a spa day they sit so high they may as well be the Pope.
- The noise of the engine is a bit dull.
- Not convinced on the build quality, but it's early days. The squeaks and rattles, whilst maybe small, after just 7000 miles is a bit concerning, and I've just had to have the tracking & alignment done already, although the UK road's ability to destroy cars never ceases to amaze me so that may not be the car's fault.
I've been picky about the bad points so as to not sound like too much of a fan-boy. But basically, I am. If you're thinking of getting one, do it! It's a rare breed of car now that is solely been designed to make you happy: -)

Now this is a real review. It's so illegitimate when an american reviews a small car because they are full of bias. They are so prejudice thinking that all cars need to be big, fast and guzzle gas. But when someone on the other side of the pond reviews a small can they can compare it to other similar small cars comparing apples to apples and appreciating the car for what it is and not what it isn't. The american consumer is brainwashed in such a way that it's destructive to themselves and others

So iv found one for 10, 900 and iv got a budget of like 14k and I'm not actually on the road yet I'm planning to get one in like 2022 when it should be cheaper more available in second hand and I will be able to get better insurance and il keep a car on the road for the first year to get a better claim as many people do. I just see it as the only answer to owning something fun and fast while it still being new and affordable and reliable.

Always loved the Swift Sport. I used to own a Lupo GTI back in the early 2000s and I suspect the Swift is one of the few current cars that could match that thing WRT fun and everyday practicality. Plus the Suzuki is most certainly more affordable than the Lupo, which was quite dear. But hey. when I sold it on (which I regret today, people were cueing up to take it off me.

Owned a 2006 Swift, the 1. 5L VVT with 102 HP and 60. 000 miles, tons of fun to throw around in the city, and the interior was almost brand new, they pretty much took care of it, the only drawbacks were. Tiny booth space (actually didn't use it, put a Subwoofer in it instead - ) and the mpg was pretty similar to a E46 330 Ci with mixed driving (highways and city 50-50)

why i prefer suzuki high rev engines good fuel economy cheap parts very light and the swift tells you what you can do and cannot do sometimes in my spare time i watch nurburgring crashes most of the time its BMW crashing while swift in the background is fine (and going strong) i think that says something about the car as well as its drivers

Got one in Champion Yellow. Not a true hatch but can keep up with more powerful cars around the mountain passes here. Even beat them. I had the 32 as well. I miss the high rev nature of that one. Will buy the SSS until they don't make it any more. Last thing to add. Absolutely fun to floor it around roundabouts with traction control switched off -

Yes, it looks massively better than the shit overpriced Up crap. I'll never understand people that would rather chose a car made by a company that was brought into existence by some faceless committee that followed Hitler's orders over a car made by a company that was the brainchild of a single man with automotive passion and vision.

Mine is a Diesel with 138000km on it in 12. 5 years, still love it. Swift makes you think positive and teach you how to control your anger when you drive it, like when some idiot cuts your way and you rather let it go than using your Horn and be ashamed-! so reliable cheap car and cheap spare parts.
