I've had a V60 T5 for 15 months now and i cannot wait to give it back to Volvo. Mostly it's frustrating. The worst thing by far though is the gearbox. It is cataclysmically bad. Its slow to change up or down and spends way too long between gears. The 250hp engine may as well have a 1. 6 diesel mated to it as the power is totally wasted. The different driving modes simply consist of going up or down a gear. No sharper changes or throttle response. The Infotainment is rubbish. It looks good at first, but in 3d mode most of the screen is given over to the sky. The menu submenu thing is just wrong. To safely do anything involving the touch screen controls, you need to pull over as the likely choices are small, faint and not logically portrayed. It has decided what it wants to display on the home screen. To change between DAB and FM you need to come out of the audio section and swipe into a menu. The parking sensors work intermittently. The car suggested cleaning them the morning after going through a car wash when they were spotless. The rain sensors are the worst i have ever known. If a vehicle with a smoking exhaust happens to be in front of you, the recirculation involves opening up the visually interesting but pragmatically speaking rubbish heating screen, not a button on the dash. Starting it when it is cold can often be a case of foot on brake, twist start stop, car displays -put foot on brake to start car-, take foot off brake put it back on, twist start stop, car displays -put foot on brake to start car-. Yes i have been to a dealer about these issues and they didn't experience it so can't fix it. For a year the collision avoidance kept picking up random objects and beeping loudly or even slamming the brakes on, this was remedied by a recall, but it isn't very Volvo. Simply put, go elsewhere. Sorry for waffling. :)

Matt, please refrain from worshipping the German cars so much. It gets annoying. They aren't always perfect. I've seen uneven stitching in Mercedes and some interior bits creak rather loudly. And BMWs and Audis aren't perfect either. The Volvos interior quality is quite high and in many ways on par with the Germans. I find the Japanese cars to have the most precise fittings, if not the most robust feeling.

We had a Volvo S60. It was by far the worst car we have ever ever seen. It broke down constantly and cost thousands in repairs. It spent more time at the mechanic or sitting in the driveway. We hated it so much. We will never by another European car again. I hope Volvo goes bankrupt and ever Volvo burns. When you live pay check to paycheck and have a problems like what we had. It really makes you salty.

What i miss in all Volvos is the ambience or mood lighting. Sure, you have this small led on the overhead panel we're you can choose color. But it doesn't really light up anything. So compared to other brands like BMW or MB that has moodlightening all around. inside the car, doors, floor etc Volvos comes out cheap

It may be nice looking, better proportions than a V90 but it has little room compared to other wagons in the same class. People who buy wagons need space but this falls short in that area. The new Generation V90 has 16 cu ft less space than a XC70 P3 and it costs more. Bad decision Volvo.

I have the same shopping bag hook in my VW Passat trunk. The point of these is not to hold the weight of your shopping bags, as you can easily overload and break them. It's supposed to keep the content of the bag from spilling and it's perfect at doing this.

I miss the opinion about sound quality of the audio device in the cars you are rewieving. Sound quality is one of my prioritys when buying a car. By my opinion Volvos have one of the best stock sistems and B&W best of non stock premium sistems.

Nice looking car but what on earth happenened to the designer when they decided the internal height? Did they stumble or what? Have you tried to sit inside with a sun roof? I cannot use this car due to the ridiculous low roof.

Whats wrong with CD player? Lots of people who has still buying CD. A collector, a child to watch cartoons on dvd. INFACT, it's awesome that Volvo is 'LISTENING' to their costumer!
U r an awkward comedian, matt. Not funny.
