I-ve been a vw audi fan for most of my driving yrs an owned many vw and a couple
Audi A4 nothing to exciting except I-ve always been pleased with vw giving the most for your dollar from decent quality material good
Engine performance to a next to luxury ride and all for a value price now vw in my opinion is slacking off from the quality of parts used on there so called high end models like the R line trims that use to mean something now they are just tune up gti engines not a different engine option making it bonkers old ones had large caliber r line upgrade now just a bigger bracket an rotor not better brakes yes brake bit better but not able to be brakes hard time time an time again all
In all vw making a lot Mexican stuff an people pay German money getting ripped these days

they want to do a type r but they know the stiffs wont like it. if this was truly inspired by a race car it would have wider fenders and wheels maybe colored seats and a lip or splitter you could actually see

This car uses the golf r engine but front wheel drive and 100kg less? Nice package. But does the perf pack gti use the same engine as the tcr or is it the normal gti engine with slightly more power?

just love how my stock Seat Leon 5F has the same middle console layout like this. With 150 hp, it runs well and fine after all.

I suppose with model 3 destroying everything, really need to lean into race aesthetics etc to keep people buying slower, more expensive to run and maintain petrol vehicles

Come on Mat, You know as well as I do that TCR were an imported racy toy car set to rival Scalextric when we were youngsters; ) I got Scalextric with minis (BL ones): )

the golf R has never really appealed to me, yes its very quick but doesn't scream sporty out to me like the GTI standard and the TCR all nice cars though.

They should have made this car way more badass.
both GTI Clubsport and GTI TCR look just like a normal GTI. No bodykit, no eye catchers.

No mention of the VR6! The MK3 GTI VR6 is one of the most iconic GTI's ever made I cant believe you dont mention that or the 200hp 24V VR6 MK4!

tcr and gti looks better then golf r and any other golf made but that being said. golf r has awd and thats the selling point for me
