S.: I just don't get that with chinese people, they're usually pretty small in size, would think that the space wouldn't be that important. But it's true that they have pretty crappy roads and longer wheel-base helps with ride comfort a bit maybe?

The reason why they have a lwb version of cars is bc of the fact that most ppl in asian countries (including china) use chauffeurs so the owners tend to sit in the back and demand more rear room.

I could see the point of the LWB versions. Modern cars have gotten so wide and having the room in length but not worrying so much about your mirrors all the time would have some appeal.
