The Skoda Scala is the BEST value car in the world! Review

This is the new Skoda Scala! It-s the latest hatchback to join Skoda-s range of family cars and it starts from a gloriously cheap price of just under -17, 000! It-s designed to go head-to-head with the likes of the Ford Focus and VW Golf, but at such a low starting price, can the Scala really bring the fight to these world-renowned class-leaders? Keep watching to find out!

I think the vw group have come to a point where it is impossible to justify why you should get a vw. cause if you want a more practical, sporty and actually more luxury looking car you go for skoda and seat which both comes to a cheaper price than the vw. and if you wanna spend a little more than those you just go for the audi. cause the vws are not really practical, not sporty, not luxury looking. they are just a worse version of seat and skoda with a higher price or a worse version of audi with not that much lower price.
Vw group in general makes quite bland and not so head turning cars (exept for seat) and vw is the most bland of them.

Skoda is owned by VW group. Remember -Dieselgate? - I could never bring myself to buy a car from a convicted criminal group who have been fined billions of $ around the world. Not only that, but these car reviewers only ever talk about a car when it is new. Check the reliability surveys from -What Car- and others such as J. D. Power etc. Most European car brands are pathetically unreliable long term compared with Japanese Made vehicles. OK while the warranty lasts, after then move it on before it costs you. I guess that's why leasing is a viable option in UK and Europe.

You want a family car with very good safety rating and good moose test with big space but not too big to park. Then this family car is an awsome value /quality. A family car is not for racing but going from A to B reliably and safely with comfort driving without getting the kids and wife carsick: ) 150pk is more than enough for a car, almost everywhere you cant even use the full pk.

Maybe the 0-60 was slow because of the fitted roof rack, maybe the gesture control seemed poor because you weren't in the drivers seat, and my trousers have pockets and pleats but the tailor didn't mention them because for the price they're the least you'd expect. So why mention the brolly and scraper?

I like the look of this but please for the love ogf god, can you atrt folding the rear seats down justy to see how much room there really is in the bootspace and tell us if the car comes with a proper spare wheel I find the lack of them now on cars to be a serious issue, other wise not a bad review.

This is just a bloody good car. It does nearly everything! And with those little clever features. if the other cars in the VAG empire that share a chassis and many parts with this DON'T have all of those features. it's inexcusable! Unless you still have a problem with the Skoda brand which is so 1980s!

Great review Matt! My first thoughts are that this is a cool looking estate. This is a car I'm looking to buy. Does anyone know how upgrading to the 18- wheels from the 17- affects road noise and ride comfort? I really like the look of the 18- but not sure if the ride quality will be affected at all.

Be warned. This car has the rarest tyre size of any car I have ever seen. My flatmates tire popped because the lane control prevented him from swerving around a pothole, and there are literally no tires in the country that fit the size of the mag! He is very pissed off, and unhappy with Skoda.

I've been driving the Monte Carlo 1L for a few days now. Road noise is quite a bit higher than I was expecting, the gearbox in D can be a little dim-witted and that lane assist feature is super annoying, but it is a nice little car that gets a lot right.
Oh and it's a small estate!

The problem with Skoda is that they may appear cheap to buy but once you have specked a decent trim and added important extras (often which are lumped together with things you don't want, at extra cost) they suddenly don't square up too well against cars such as the Polo or Golf.
