You can't go wrong with both cars, but I'd still choose the Civic Type R, because it feels more race-like, and also very practical. Even though it's a sporty car, it's still a practical Honda Civic at the end of the day - And for the front-wheel drive, it actually did pretty good during the drag race and it kept up very well with the Yaris.

You guys need to remember the gr yaris is a homologation car. Its specialty are rally roads. Rough, uneven, concrete, asphalt, gravel, sand, snow and rain. You put both cars on those elements the Honda type R doesnt stand a chance against the Toyota GR Yaris.

Would have loved to see, a Nissan version of the Megane RS Trophy R. Like a successor to the Pulsar GTI-R. I would love to see that. A 300 hp FWD Nissan. Or put the same AWD system they had in the Juke Nismo RS. I would love to see a Nissan Hot hatch again.

Im a Type R owner and for straight line acceleration Im jealous of the awd although stand alone ecu Motec M142 traction control is pretty good. Im also jealous of the manual hand brake. Maybe ai could retro fit one? -

I give a lot of respect to the new Toyota Yaris GR I still think the type R is faster because of the VTEC it was kicking in and he was catching him nice race lol also I drive a 2007 Toyota Yaris s I had to see this race

I realy like the engine performance of yaris, for that 3 cylinder turbo not bad to compit type r 4cylinder turbo, but for me a appreciate the performance of toyota yaris, someday i can find way to have that my dream car.

This is my kind of drag race, well designed hot hatches. I see why Matt got the Yaris, dual lsd, 261 hp, great looks, and I especially like that the hazards come on automatically because it stops so quickly

So that silly 3 cyl Yaris isn't all that then. Think I'll have the type r. Why they couldn't make a 4cyl Yaris with turbo I don't understand. Or put an electric booster motor in the Yaris would be better
