now i understand why the top speed cars like bughatti's aren't being used for racing, and also explains why F1 cars aren't in top 3 of fastest cars, they just have an insane acceleration and decceleration, but at a long distance they stand no chance against bughatti and koenigsegg

Wow. Think about how heavy the Chiron is, how much kit it has and now comfortable it is. Meanwhile the F1 car is a slimmed down racing machine that needs an entire team to keep alive and working.

Why Mat was inside of Chiron? This Chiron is almost 2 tons and the extra weight of Mat Watson decreased the performance of the Chiron and give a huge advantage to the RedBull F1 car to win. Otherwise, Chiron could get a chance to win or draw at the finish line.

Of course, the expensive Formula (and Daytona) autos are faster than any hyper car or super bike. They are built for accelleration, cornerning and top speed. Now put them on a formula track and the F car will easily double the Bugatti.

The Bugatti has 644bhp per tonne and the now 11 year old F1 RB has 750BHP weighing in at 650kg. That is over 1000BHP per tone. It was never going to be close, maybe in the wet but not in dry conditions.
