What we've established then, is that BMW can make big turbos but their electronics, gearboxes and brakes are. well, not as good as you'd expect from a car like that. Ok maybe the brakes aren't bad, Porsche brakes are a bad comparison for anything!
Wouldn't be able to pick between these cars based on just straight line stuff, but considering how much better the Porsche was in this video, the BMW needs perfect handling to be worth considering.

I own a 2021 M4 Manual and the best way to launch the car is to turn DSC completely off. M2 button settings: DSC off, sport suspension, Sport brake, sport plus throttle mapping. With the autos on bad surfaces it s better to run with DSC completely off and roll in/feather it in without going into launch mode.

Well Mat usually loses brake tests even in cars he s not supposed to lose in, can t take that result seriously. I don t know the why exaggeration about BMW poor launch - Porsches launch very well bcoz 200kg lighter n decent weight on rear axle. If anything BMWs launch is impressive

It would be interesting to see how the 911 GTS would fair against the M4 CSL. I'm sure it would still walk all over the CSL from a standstill but it would probably make the rolling race a bit more interesting. Either way, amazing video as always especially when Yianni is involved!

I d love to see what the M Division could do if given free reign to develop a car from scratch. Having to start with a standard 4 series and modify it to develop a sports car will never yield the optimal result. I love BMW but Porsche sports cars are on another level.

Launch control is not usable in real life and just a marketing tool used by brands to sell you fake power and artificially boosted 0-60 which are reduce by 0. 8 s vs real acceleration from 5 mph to 60. This artifice can't do nothing against real power!

Porsche is The One. It doesn't matter that the Beemer or anything else would catch up eventually because on real roads it's from the traffic lights or off-ramp to the legal limit that counts and anything further would be speeding tickets.

As said early in the video Porsche just delivers time & time again. Porsche was the best brand in Dubai. Go shopping, take to the track. 50 Deg C. Time after time. Reliable and delivering great brakes & great performance.

The key launching the M4 CSL is to set the traction control right. You can set it from 1 to 10 and it looked like it was set to 10. that s why the start was crap I think

11. 7 seconds for RWD BMW M3 is still great. F82 got 12. 4 seconds. I'd love to see a tuned AWD M4 vs. 911 turbo S. And don't forget the price difference! :)

Csl's are not in the same League as any Gt Porsche. if you were to actually track and race the 2.

its a nice looking car from all sides except the huge kidneys. BMW, what's happened to you?

BMW sounded better to me. Otherwise I much prefer the Porsche - better transmission, overall more precise car. Plus try to maintain a modern BMW.
