The best BMW EVER!

This is the all-new BMW 3. 0 CSL! It s been 50 years since the launch of BMW s M division, and it s celebrating the anniversary with the release of this limited-edition 3. 0 CSL! First things first, let s look at the design And what a design! It s one of the wildest-looking M cars BMW has ever released, and as a result, it s one of the best M cars ever released! Up front, there s an updated kidney grille (which let s be honest, looks SO much better than the new M3 & M4 grille) that comes with brushed aluminium frames. There are also vertical carbon fins on either side of the bonnet which were inspired by the original CSL. Around the back, you ll find two rear wings, and the whole body is covered in smart creases. Oh, and let s not forget that the whole body is made from carbon fibre! On the inside, the 3. 0 CSL looks very similar to the M4 CSL. However, bar a few badges and minor design changes, there s one key difference There s a bright white gear lever embossed with a 50 logo, as the 3. 0 CSL is available as a manual only! Under the bonnet, you ll find the most powerful 6-cylinder engine BMW has ever put in a production car. This 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six produces 560hp, which is 50hp more than the standard M4 Competition! BMW hasn t released performance stats yet, but you can bet that this will come in at under 4 seconds.

okay hear me out, It does look pretty good, but it's not special enough for what it represents, that is 50 years of M.
It's the same chassis as the M4, probably the same mediocre manual gearbox, the interior doesn't look much difference from the M4 CSL either, and it has the same headlights and tailights from the M4 CSL.
Besides, the original concept car had such a beautiful design and an aggressive stance to it, with the headlights and the super wide rear fenders and this one just looks bloated, now I know that the production versions don't look as good as the concepts most of the time, but this just looks like an M4 CSL with a body kit and a Manual.
I still like the car, but just a little disappointing to see how it turned out

So tired of this repeated narrative around the current M4 design; the current M4 design is simply stunning! As an owner whenever I enter the garage and I look at my car it gets a big smile and gives me a sense of pride. And no you don't have to see it in person to appreciate it, it looks great in pictures and I truly believe that there a significant number of men who actually really dig the current design.

A truly beautiful car that harks back to proper M cars. A big fan of the green tribute cr they made (even more so then this one) but one thing that doesn't right is. if its limited to only 50 and the serious rich lucky enough to own one, shouldn't they have gone bonkers with the power just because they could? For the exclusivity of it it'd wanna pit the other M cars to shame

Willing to bet we'll be looking at a minimum 300k price tag and probably near 400k after markup. Sure its gorgeous but seriously no one is going to buy this to daily drive or track it much. This will sit in a garage pretty much. Meh. For me, give me a m4 competition xdrive and I'll be happier for far less and actually use the car to each his own.

The gearbox alone would make me want it. I just do not like semi auto or auto boxes at all. I love a gear lever. It involves you more in the process. And in an age where gadgets, computers and screens are taking over everything, it is just so nice to have the mechanicals to interact with wherever possible

So glad to see BMW has learned their lesson with those kidney grills just like Ford has learned its lesson with their front end when the GT350 came along I was so happy because it begun the process of deleting That hideous looking grill and it seems like BMW is doing the same with this car

The grille looks so much better on this car than the one on the standard M3/4. Not sure why BMW did not use this grille in the first place. I bet they would have sold more M3/4's. Maybe they didn't want to sell more cars. They seem content being second to MBZ in total sales.

Fine looking beast. Love that grill and the fact that the number plate isn't an afterthought this time around. Paraphrasing what the Fiat 500 designer said doesn't matter if a number plates a flat bit of plastic. It should be envisioned in the end product.

Porsche GT3 makes this look overpriced and overhyped,
They should should stop converting sedans into sports cars by removing rear seat, instead they should make a proper sports car platform which can atleast give GT3 some completion.

Sorry. The Original race CSL from the 70s is king. It has far more characteristics than its successor. This new model simply mimic some of its looks and gave it a more aggressive tune. As far as I'm concerned. It's a marketing gimmick.

If BMW could just get the grill right, they'd be perfect, On the new 1 series, if the top of the grill was lower than the headlight line, it would look sooooo much better. the back is perfect though.

The old 3. 0 CSL to me is one of the most beautiful looking pieces of art on the planet. The new one doesn't even represent any part of the old car. It's just a 4 series re done over.

1: 27 so apparently they do know how to do a large kidney grill don't they? I wonder when those BMW stans would realize it's NOT the SIZE of the grill that's ugly, it's how it shapes.
reply

As you say: This is how the M3 & M4 grill should have looked! Pity it is only going to be available to the super rich but if they redesign the M3/4 with this grill I ll order tomorrow!
reply

This car looks absolutely incredible the way the rear arches blend in with the rear wing, rare W for the BMW design team but they should be proud of this one. Looks brilliant
