Today, I'm not going to argue, this is the best supercar on sale, bar none. And it is priced accordingly. However, looking forward, I think these hybrid supercars will be far less desirable than the pure-ICE supercars. If people don't want a pure-EV they're going to want pre-hybrid.
Think about trying to keep one of these things maintained in 20+ years time, even less, when the electronics and the batteries start to have problems. Will you even be able to get parts? Most modern cars are scrapped because of electronics failures and inability to get electronic components, and that's in far less complex mass-produced cars. It'll be like trying to get a replacement ECU for a Ferrari Valeo gearbox.
And I would say the McLaren Artura will be an even worse proposition.
Consequently, I'm going to argue in favour of the overlooked and widely dismissed Maserati MC20. It looks fantastic, the doors go up and it has a carbon tub, just like a McLaren. It has an amazing V6TT without any hybridization, yet it delivers very similar performance to the Artura. And it is a fantastic drive without distracting and annoying gadgets. Those who complain about the sound wouldn't be complaining if it was a McLaren or a Bugatti, and forget Maserati was the first to introduce twin turbos on a production car and that they did so on a V6. In any other company than the 296 it's a good sounding V6.
As a road car, I'm not convinced the 296 is a better proposition than the MC20, or in terms of supercar presence. Right now, there's a waiting list for the 296, and you pay way over list price used. I certainly wouldn't pay over list for a 296 when I can get an MC20 for less than 200K today. If I could get an allocation for a 296, I'd certainly go for it, but I can't. When 296s drop below 200K on the used market, I reckon that will be the time to buy one. But, going forward, I reckon those who don't want to go full EV will be wanting a 488/F8, Huracan, R8 V10, 911 Turbo S, V8TT McLaren, or MC20 V6TT, rather than a 296 or Artura.

We should make a petition for carmakers to stop making touch sensitive climate control. It's so annoying, there's nothing easier and also safer for the traffic than to blindly find the knob and turn it, you don't need to look at it. And yes you can show the setting in a head-up, that's clever combo of tech and utility. With anything touch sensitive you need to look where you put your hand and then it doesn't even work.

For a V6 it sounds fairly pleasant, however in comparision with the V8s from earlier models. I dare say it is quite disapointing. Even comparing with the twin-turbo F154 V8, not to mention the glorious, remarkable, wonderful, impeccable. ok, let's just say incredible F136 naturally aspirated V8 or equally astonishing Ferrari V12s such as the F140.

carwow and Matt please seriously consider including 100-200kph times and or 60-130mph times for cars like these. It s a much more widely used test of speed by real car buyers. We don t care about 0-200kph time! We get a good indicator of that through the 1/4 mile! Other than that, another mega review! Thanks Matt

Man, those companies are ran by suits that dont have passion for their brands any more. Old Ferrari would NEVER come with wrinkled dashboard or crooked badge in the cabin. Nor use cheap materials that wear out after 1 year, what is this, a 400K Ferrari or a Chinese knockoff?

This is the best looking ferrari in a long time for me. Other than the tail lights which I think should have been classic round. It's so good looking. I don't understand why you'd spend so much on that paint though. spend that much and go for something different.

Both Ferrari and McLaren have done the iteration game this year which doesn't see any phenomenal leaps in performance, but will of course fatten the bottom lines nicely.
Head to head - 750S takes the mid 2023 crown.
When does the new Lambo come out?

The only modern Ferrari that imo is timeless & beautiful is roma & laferrari. This is a boring body mod job car look & the sf90 looks like a 20k normal sedan from front & the interior being too much touchscreen is another con

Ferrari didn't learn from all the negative feedback about the touch stuff in the Roma. The decision makers at these companies aren't aware that the controls need to be manipulated while being driven in heaven traffic and rain?

Had the opportunity to track one. Stunning performance. Hybrid operation is seamless. Sounds incredible. Hard to believe it s a V6. Spot on about the brake by wire. If you didn t know you would believe it was hydraulic.

touch screens and touch buttons don't belong in a car, they are distracting and a road hazard. Button should be tactile, driver must find them without looking. If i were Ferrari I'd review what they have done here

I would still 100% take a 488 GTB over this. The 488 is still by far the best looking Modern Ferrari (Even over the 458 in my opinion of course. Idk something about a Ferrari V6 just doesn t sit right with me.

Yeah I'd never buy this. No android auto, no proper cup holders or any real interior space. Clunky touch sensors. You'd think they would do better considering the huge frunk space they implemented but no!
