This is the most attention-grabbing car I've ever driven!

Meet the Human Horizons HiPhi Z! It s an all-new luxury car that s come straight from China, and it s absolutely loaded with tech. What s more, it looks unlike any car we ve seen before! But is it more style over substance? Well when it comes to the design, this is easily one of the most eye-catching cars we ve ever driven! The outside of the car is covered in thousands of LED lights, that make it possible to show images & text at either the front, side or rear of the car! It also comes with elements of purple trim which help it to stand out even more, and the front of the car is covered in a number of aggressively-styled vents and aero bits. If anything, it s giving us some GT-R vibes! Step inside and the luxury vibes are clear to see. There are soft-touch materials throughout, and the seats are super comfortable and come with massage functions. There s also a massive infotainment screen up front, which is used to control nearly everything in this car. But thankfully, it s super fast and comes with great graphics. It even adjusts itself to be pointing at the driver depending on the position of your seat! So while the car is packed full of tech, it s a much simpler story when it comes to the engine. The HiPhi Z comes with just one battery and motor combo - dual electric motors and a 120kWh battery which are good for 672hp and 820Nm along with a range of up to 438 miles. So it s oh-so eye catching, and so is the price! The HiPhi Z starts from around 90, 000. But given it looks so unique, is it clearly worth it? You ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

Although I'm not personally a big fan of the design, it's hard to argue with the social proof of the design. If people are guessing that it's worth over 2x the actual price and whenever you drive it, you get swarmed by people, it's a pretty decent value proposition off of design alone. Even hypercars don't get that much attention.
That being said, the glitches suck pretty hard, but the specs seem decent. Hopefully, they get it all sorted by the release date in 2025.

It's hideous. This goes beyond overstyling. There's no consistent design language at all; presumably because it's nicked from a dozen different car models.
It's all coupled with gimmick-laden tech and design decisions that put flashiness over all practicality.
What a waste of quality materials and construction.

Interesting design execution. Front end is very Nissan GTR, back end MacLaren Senna, with the C pillar area with BMW i8 vibes. As accurately pointed in the comments, over styled, yes please, and one may add, convoluted identity. However, an interesting execution and offering in the EV segment.

proportions look whack, wheel design is crap, fake vents. looks chinese thats for sure. thankfully for china though, the western designers are catching up on making their cars look cheap and whack. how nice to t he west to screw themselves over to even out the competition.

The problem with this car, and cars like it is that it s not even remotely environmentally sustainable. Massive, heavy and chock full of batteries and motors. It s still only good for four people. This is absolutely the wrong direction to go in, in my opinion.

how much co2 emissions and resources does it take to make 'vegan' leather. why not just go for real leather which is a by product from the food industry. I hope vegans feel good about their logic and wise environmental positive choices

I wouldn't say that this car is ugly, but it definitely looks gimmicky. From what I know about the Chinese wealthy, they might like that kind of stuff, but in Europe, I think, you'd be better off with something less loud, but more stylish

I love how the charger flap and key are broken in the review sample.
On a car already in production.
Made in china

But k am happy to open my own doors

Human Horizons sounds kind of like Apex Cybernetics tbh. And the looks of this Chinese car alone makes me think of Mechagodzilla considering the purpose of it being supposedly a mechanical clone of Godzilla.

1. cool styling.
2. perfect interior.
cons.
3. not straight piped from factory. : /
4. only comes with 21 inch rims. should be at least 24.
5. they can be cansprayed black by user.

When we say, It's a refrigerator on wheels, it's not a compliment. These people take it literally. More than how many kilometers it has a range, you have to ask about the capacity of the freezer.

Id be bang up for taking a selfie with you Matt but that car is FUGLY bigtime! Seems to be very much a Chinese Tesla with similar horrendous looks, terrible build quality and unreliability!
reply

Would have been great car if it didn't had all these glitches and was little less over styled. Anyway it doesn't matter people's reaction is enough proof how good this car looks.
reply

Japanese and Korean cars. yes! Chinese made cars? Never. Why put money in the hands of a corrupt, oppressive regime so that they can grow more powerful? Sorry, but no thanks.
reply

I live in China and test drove it a few weeks ago and luckily that car had no glitches. It was a wonderful experience and I noticed quite a few people taking pictures of it.

My 2014 Nissan hatchback has an even better door opening system. You just pull on the outside handle and it opens! Pull on the inside handle and it closes! Amazing!
reply

Oh dear, not another EV. Pity it didn't burn along with the hundreds of EV that caught fire in one of the two recent car bulk carrier mishaps. EV's are a scam.
reply

The European car industry should be seriously worried about radical EV's being designed and manufactured by new companies springing up in the far East.

Unfortunate about the slow DC fast charging. You should be able to charge 10-80 in under 30 minutes but this seems like it's going to take 45-50 for that.
