Bentley GT Le Mans v Flying Spur Speed: DRAG RACE

We ve got our hands on the super-rare, limited edition Bentley Continental GT Speed Le Mans, and it s going head-to-head against the Flying Spur Speed! So how different are these two cars? Well starting with the Flying Spur, it s powered by a 6-litre twin-turbo W12 engine that puts down 635hp and 900Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 2, 437kg. If you want to pick one up, it ll cost around 245, 000. But that s nothing compared to the Le Mans Edition, which costs 330, 000! Under the bonnet you ll find the same 6-litre twin-turbo W12, although power output has been increased to 659hp and 900Nm. It also has an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, although there are a couple of unique features to be found on the inside. The car has been built to celebrate 100 years of the Le Mans 24 Hour race, so it includes some plaques to celebrate Bentley s six wins, as well as an engine valve from the 2003 winning car! It s also limited to just 48 units. The question is, does it really warrant the 330k price tag! And will it beat the Flying Spur Speed over the quarter-mile? There s only one way to find out LET S RACE!

Great and fun video as always!
But what happened with Jeep Avenger video? It was taken down couple of hours after the upload? No explanation of that? C'min Carwow, I hope you didn't take it down on Jeep's demand after we saw how bad car actually is.

That Bently is so NOT worth the extra 100 grand, it's really silly to have those rare extras, and to pay 100 grand more for them. Also I agree with Yani, that the other Bentley Flying Spur Speed is just going to be better to have in the long run.

Earlier at Bentley HQ:
-So what do we do to earn more money?
=Stay relevant?
-You are fired.
-Anybody else?
=How about we cut some old engine valves and sell them for 200k a piece?
-You are also fir. Wait, tell me more.

reply

With a modest remap the flying spur speed 6. 0 w12 will hit 680bhp and 900nm for a very modest amount of money.
Spend another couple of grand getting the animations, the number 7 and so on. Save yourself 40k.

reply

Gotta be honest. neither are worth the money to most of us that don't have it to waste like that. For those of us future lotto winners, so many better value toys could be bought for the same money

The Bentley GT looks incredible, especially in that Verdant color, love it.
I dont think it is worth those 100k more, for collectors yes, for a guy that just wants to drive it and enjoy it nah.

I feel like yanni now knows pretty much all about car main specs so I agree with him about price of GT le mand 380k and flying spur for 300k not worth it rather would bought some royce for 400-500k

mat u should come to india and review some of the cars local manufacturers make, you'll be amazed to see a very bad car being the most sold car as well(toyota fortuner)

Coincidentally, today I wrote an English exam that featured a Carwow review in it and now Carwow drops a video, what a small world we live in

The Bentley is not even close to be worth of 350 k.
A good modern second hand BMW 7 series does also the job, maybe even better for 50 k.

reply

Left Front door on the yellow Bentley got some spray painting done to it. Not a very good job. You can clearly see where they blended it in.

Please stop! You are not reviewing cars anymore. rewiew cars that people can afford. Absolutely dragrace is fun to watch but not every video.
reply

It's amazing that beasts this big can move so swiftly. I have driven both models, Sans the Le Mans version, and they are spectacular.
reply

I bet a Morgan Plus 6 is as quick won t stop asking you to review/drag race one maybe own as a long termer and maybe even tune its B58
reply

Matt, you could get in the car that loses for once in your life. You come across like an odious gloater that rigs every game.
reply

150 grand for a valve? I think Bentley have made more special edition cars than the normal production line
