cool car, but considering the price there are very wierd decisions and politics made by, which nobody understands. even on such an expensive kinda premium SUV the sides are made of cheap hard plastics, which easily scratch. even a freaking dacia has some kind of carpet/fell/cloth whatever there, what is wrong with asian companies saving costs here since the car is priced high and the first attempt from KIA into premium territory, why only massage on the driver's seat hyundai started with that odd decision back then with the i40 offering seatcooling only for the driver's seat. i don't get it. why there is no option for adaptive air suspension. since the premium brand from KIA/Hyundai. genesis offer air suspension in some of their cars or at least regular adaptive dampers, why not on a 90. 000 KIA and why is KIA offering the EV 9 only with 3 rows, why is there no 4/5 seater configuration apart from those wierd things very nice car.

Great Video Matt. I moved from my BMW iX to the EV9 GTS 6 seat 2 weeks ago and I have not been disappointed at all. its a great all round luxury SUV. Despite the badge snobs out there this is a game changer for KIA at this end of the market. I miss nothing about the BMW and the extra seat and boot space are perfect. One comment on the range. Its looking like 230 miles in the cold, wet and windy conditions is about spot on right now. I expect when the weather improves it will get us back up to closer to 300 miles. But my iX 40 was only getting about 180 miles this time last year in similar conditions so I am still pretty happy.

I'm probably an anomaly in the customer space, but I would not be able to get over the idiotic safety systems settings resetting on every startup. I'm not going to spend upwards of 70k on a vehicle with systems specifically designed to aggravate me (as long as there are alternative choices in the market, at least, regardless of anything else about the vehicle. For me, there are some design choices which make products a hard pass, and being explicitly designed to piss off the owner is one of them.

Although I hate my id3 for its fault I should mention it also will slow to stop you getting too close to the car in front even without the cruise control on. Also if you lift off when approaching a junction or lower speed limit the car also slows appropriately. It's actually useful. The displays that turn off for 30 minutes and the squeaky roof, and the annoying alarm, and VW rinsing me for servicing costs for something akin to an MOT inspection rather spoil things.

If we started calling these vehicles what they are, maybe we could collectively come back to earth. because this is not an SUV, this is a van with outswing doors. Automakers keep making minivans and marketing them as SUVs to pander to people with tiny personalities who are terrified of looking _______ (insert derogatory term here. But in reality, a proper van can be the pinnacle of luxury, comfort and practicality.

75K for a Kia never in a million years lol, now don't get me wrong I am not knocking Kia but in my opinion they can never get rid of their cheap image due to the cars they have produced in the past and still produce. No matter how good their quality is, spending 75K on a car from a brand that also produces the Picanto is just a no go and I don't care how solid a Picanto is built. It's still a cheap car.

Now that's funny. In the U. K. where it's wrong-hand-drive, Kia seems to have put the 'executive seat' as the front passenger seat whereas in the USA that seat is the driver seat fair bit of cost cutting on their end but it probably isn't that bad anyway. Perhaps there's more relaxation to be had without a steering wheel near your legs.

If only kias and Hyundais weren’t made of glass. I’ve seen these things ripped to shreds in what otherwise look like a fender bender. Got some nice looking designs and decent interior tech but man, the amount of Hyundai/kia owners I’ve know with transmission issues, overheating issues, accessory issues is ridiculous high.

Take these ludicrous EV’s and shove them were the sun don’t shine. Anyone who thinks EV’s are in any way the future or with ( current technology) will reduce C02 needs to get educated. As for CarWOW it’s about time you told the truth about EV productions CO2 costs etc. OR are you paid Off!

Stylish Mmmmh. Kia are certainly being radical and its either going to work. or not. KIA/Hyundai are boasting they will be the biggest car manufacturer in the world in the near future. The price for this latest barge more likely means they will be the most profitable in the world!

The EV dream is over. Wait till MR deprecation hits this car. Seriously a really good low mileage used Range rover or X5 or Q8 will always have kudos. Better looking, drive for ever on one tank and will always look class even ten years on. Plus you will always feel expensive.

I remember earlier you had a review of Kia EV6 and said it is the worlds best EV. After one year you made a comparison of it with bz4x and I could see EV6's back seat fold button is not working. That is the story of all KIA cars. They rip off after 2 years.

pretty sure that the self-reset of the safety features is a legal obligation for the manufacturers. So sadly you can't fault them for that.
However, they could and should still offer physical shortcut buttons to switch them off as comfortably as possible.

who on earth would even pay 40k for a Kia let alone I've worked on Korean cars. The underpinnings are utter junk and fail terribly as they age. I doubt this will sell. Would have to be absolutely mad to fork out that much for Korean garbage

right. so now it says it is about 3 hours since this video was posted. so i recon this car value might have dropped since of about 20K. Give it a week it'll be worth 30 k. Matt cmon, be serious and give us some real cars! EV's are OVER!

QR codes show up on screen for a hilariously short amount of time. The UX is pretty bad.
They need to be there longer & it would improve the UX if there was a countdown next to it so the viewer knows when it's going to disappear.

badge snobs would say that the price of a BMW and Kia aren't that far off. and always conveniently leave out the options, where the Kia is fully equipped, while the BMW is basic and each option costs an arm and a leg

I twice rented a Tesla from Hertz in the U. S. A. & they both chimed at me when the car in front of me pulled away &
I was daydreaming. Good feature that all cars should have. Like Matt said in this video.

Kia! Slow Down, We know you have been making Decent Vehicles of lately but that doesn't give you the Free pass of Over Pricing your Products to High Premium Levels. This Vehicle is $10k over Priced.
