Upper Ball Joint Replacement. This video will show you how to replace the Upper Control Arm Ball Joint on a Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, etc. Replacing a ball joint is fast and easy and can be done with basic hand tools and a ball joint press you can rent for free at your local parts store. This ball joint is pressed but some are bolt on which is even easier. Tools Used

Hey Chris;
Im a fairly new fan.
Im glad youve done some video working on a trailBlazer as I have an 02 myself.
Has a few too many problems and its great to see how easy some are to fix.
Ball joints are one of them.
What about CV joints? My boot on the inner one on the passenger side is ripped. Want to get that taken care of. Also needs to have the key locking mechanism reattached. Only has one key entry. Id like to see any videos on that and also sun roof diagnostics and repair, and, and. lol.
Thanks cuz your videos help boost confidence.

Thanks Chris Fix for all your wonderful vids.
Question: How do you fix a hub that does not want to be straightened back up or align back up with the other side (opposite side hub/tire.
And what could be the problem with it?
I inspected the hub n discovered the (outer joint of the axle) just refused to bend back the other direction.

First off your videos have helped me a ton. Even when my vehicle is configured differently I am able to figure it out. Question though, my 2005 Trailblazer does not have a CV joint or that large nut in the center of my wheel hub area. Does that mean one less step or is there is a different method that I will have to use?

I apologize if this was mentioned in an earlier comment. This is a 4x4 Trailblazer, etc. and there will be no axle nut at all on the 2 wheel drive version, No need to buy the huge socket for those. Had to return one when I replaced my wheel bearing and hub assembly as all the videos showed the 4x4. :-D

Thank you for posting your videos. My 2003 Honda Accord shakes like crazy whenever it is in Drive but sitting still. I just replaced all the motor and transmission mounts. It never shakes when in Park, but only when the car is in Drive and I am completely stopped. What do you think the issue is?

Hi, Chris, my 2005 Honda Accord upper ball joint need to be replaced. In your other video, you said the upper ball joint cannot be replaced. The whole control arm need to be replaced. So in my case, can i just change the upper ball joint or the upper control arm?

Hey Chris, with all the different kinds of grease tubes available, what grease should a guy actually use to grease ball joints as well as any other chassis component? Thanks for your wealth of knowledge and great presentation!

Chris, your videos are so legit.
You explain everything so clearly. You often explain how and why. You give complete concepts.
You're a great teacher and I hope you are very blessed. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!

Tightening or loosing big nuts, like axle nuts,
needs high torque. Do that by pushing (not pulling) the torque bar, otherwise you might hurt your back bone.

Oh shoot you're supposed to leave the blue plastic on mevotech parts? I took it off for my ball joints cause I thought it was just protection for shipping: 0
