Okay I'm a truck guy going to break it down real quick #10 not a truck but good reliable suv for the money, common problems are overheating on hot days and. i think that was it. mpg wasn't great (mother had one) #9 the cool c10's are so old that it is what you make it #8 jeep not a truck. stock they are. okay but good offroad ready ones for 10k not happening. you will need to spend another 10k to take it on the trail. Plus repairs; but good community and that is almost worth using a jeep on the trail #7 dodge good truck 12 valve Cummins baby that are so awesome that there transmissions will brake under the reliable torque ( exaggerated in my opinion my buddy has a old farm square body Cummins truck at 360k auto trans is slipping but still runs) gas motor's were acceptable for the generation but nothing to brag about #6 Ford ranger only buy first gen. 2nd generation is weak i had one for my work countless problems radiators/engine cooling being the most common fault/failure. I had 4 Ford Rangers I had to maintain while working for my company and all four of them had a new radiators new thermostats and new heater cores put in at one point or another and there fuel injection was crap #5 Ford super duty okay so 7. 3 power stroke good (with compression) 6. 8 v10 bad for lots of reasons mpg gutless terrible reliability spark plug failure 5. 4 triton even worse for same reasons (all work truck experience) #4 Nissan D21 bullet proof my co worker accidently pushed his D21 in into the river with a tractor. pulled it out drain fuel fired right up (grain of salt. but ran till he sold it a year later) #3 chevy 1500 5. 3 v8 engine good, transmissions worse than rams transmissions will go out buy 150k if you try to tow anything (owed chevy Avalanche for 2 year worse truck i ever owed but mine was abused. miles rolled back and crashed twice before I ever owed it. #2 Tacoma SOOOOO OVERRATED and way abused for the cost #1 Ford lightning i have no experience with

I could've used a list like this a couple months ago, except I only had 8-9k. But my cousin grew up on a junkyard and he's a mechanic, and between the two of us we've owned almost every truck on this list. I can tell you that we both had a 98 Dodge Ram and I just can't recommend that truck. All the stories you've heard about the transmissions in those are true. They have a design flaw that causes them to just go completely out with no warning. I literally drove it across town, no slippage, no trouble. On the way home it started slipping and within a few miles it just wouldn't go into any gear. Fluid was full and clean, and there was no indication of a problem. I don't know what year they fixed the issue, but I would just avoid any late 90s Ram. I also think the 360ci motor was more underpowered than I expected. My 96 Tahoe had a 350ci and I'm pretty sure it was heavier, and it was noticably more powerful. My cousin has also had a bunch of different plow trucks over the years. Several years ago he had a mid 2000s Chevy 2500 or 3500. I can't remember what engine it was but I remember it was obscenely huge. like an 8. 0L gas engine or something. And I think he always probably preferred Chevy's. But he was really unimpressed with that truck. He had to put a lot of money in it just to keep it running. in the summer when he wasn't plowing. He didn't keep it long. Now he has an F-350 Super Duty with a 6. 0L diesel I think. I think it's also a mid 2000s. Now he's fallen in love with this truck. He says it's the best plow truck he's ever had. He even took it all apart last summer to sandblast the frame and re prime and paint it so it'll last him longer.

I figured the XJ platform would be in there somehow but I was thinking in the form of the Comanche rather than the XJ since the video was about trucks. Could have subbed the XJ for the Comanche Eliminator. Which basically started performance trucks. It basically destroyed everything during its time until other manufacturers decide to combat that directly like the Typhoon and Cyclone which couldn't exist without the Eliminator.

I have a 2001 Ford Lighting and a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 so I think my truck game is good. The Ram was 250 and the Lightning. well it was left to me but had I have bought it I d say 15, 000 (which I could never afford because, highschooler lol) or so but then again it only has 67, 000 miles. My Ram has around 240, 000 and all it has needed is a front diff and a set of tires.

A SUV isn t a truck. Try the list again please. Plus the the C10 are the 2WD. You would would want the K10(4x4. And all the C10 s are rust led out by now. Do to the the fact the metal fro the old ships they to Melt down. Seat water is bad. The picture of the silverado you show would be a 2nd gen. Not a 1st gen. Just saying.

America missed out on the best utes (pickups) ever created. The XF Falcon ute (any falcon ute really) or the Holden Kingswood Ute (HQ Ute) or any of the Commodore utes, Maloo being the Halo model, or the Falcon Pursuit ute, Ford's Halo model

Next on our list, the first gen Superduty. has a second gen Superduty in the picture. Also, how are you gonna mention the v10 but not the most legendary light duty diesel ever made that came in that truck. The good ole 7. 3

The GX 470 is not a truck. It s a SUV. The Jeep Grand Cherokee isn t a truck. It s also a SUV. The Tacoma is definitely not Japan s F-150. The Tacoma is way too small to be compared to the F-150.
