In the 90s at least in my country street racing and putting the car it self on bet was a very real thing, in some point it was difficult to find a decent factory specs car - the so called mama ( as mommy made them ) aaaaaand then the financial meltdown came and for almost a decade the entire scene died out. now days the tuning scene has shifted to bikes that use literally car parts like turbos sometimes scavenged from the old tuned cars The other trend is heavily modified old off road cars with cutting of pumpers making them liter in any possible way removing hard tops or even the soft top mechanics most of the interior changing the lights with cheap led ones because after all is all about the looks On the other hand i can't help myself mentioning that. Thank god those trends of ridiculously lowing the car and letting rust just for the looks of it never came here, i mean ok we are using a lot of zip ties and fabrication but we do it out of need on our dally cars Especially in some areas were people can't afford for anything else you can see crazy mods just to keep the car or the bike running so no one is really interesting on making a ratty car look even worse if you going to modify your car is going to be so it can be better not worse

I define a tuner as an individual who put time blood and tears into whatever they are building boat car plane whatever. some may call it a mechanic some a tuner I see it as like minded individuals who have a dream and are willing to express it in the arts they craft. I personally have a 94 integra pushing 850 Hp with a huge ass wing and weight plate in front with huge front splitter no dashboard no nothing just two seats racing wheel and metal frame yes its fwd but do I think my cars better then any other car no do I race it on streets no why did I build it? Because ever since I was a kid that was something I always wanted to do. With that said we are all family in the the world of tuning/customizing.

Not hurting you or others. but when a stanced car blows a tire from excessive camber wear (and wrecks into another car), loses grip in the rain (fishtails in front of me, drops underchassis parts on the road (Which I run over and lose my side skirt) or generally delays me from entering a parking lot on the way to work (Makes me late and or causes a general nuisance. then yes I can hate stanced cars. because most of them are illegal and unsafe. I hate them for the same reason I hate excessively lifted trucks (I have a reasonably 2 lifted Ford Explorer. it helps when I go to work site driving in ruts) they are unsafe, cause limited visibility and generally display your lack of man parts.

Static super stance and giant mall crawling pickups are the only part of the car scene I HATE with a passion. And only because I've ridden in both. I felt like my back was crying PLEASE GOD NO in the stance car, and I needed a ladder to get into the pickup with 24 inch wheels and no rubber. That's just too much. Bags on the other hand, you don't scrape on paper when you're driving, but you can get that look when you're parked at a meet. and at least in my experience, they're more comfortable than coils. And lifted pickups can be nice, when they HAVE RUBBER

Tuning is LITERALLY making harmonious music inside an engine Each power pulse must have a perfect pathway unimpeded, in a perfect dance with each and every other power pulse, from infancy when they are not one unit, but a volume of air here, and a squirt of fuel there all needing a perfect and easy pathway to the perfect marriage under pressure (the Big Bang) Then when they are one and perfected, the exit must be perfect and loudly announce that their song is over

I still think the word tuner shouldn't include purely aesthetically motivated modification. A modded car can be anything with parts that aren't approximately OEM, but to me tuning a car has to involve tinkering with the mechanicals. Stance squeezes into that definition but I place it on the same level as rolling coal because of the careless wastefulness of it and the questionable motives behind it. I think stance people want to have haters.

Stance isnt bad. bad stance is bad. When a car is low but they put the effort into maintaining a reasonable and usable fitment its actually badass. Excessive camber and other dumb stance trends are NOT sacrificing performance for style. because they look dumb AND drive poorly. There is no upside. Plus. if you really want a car to be slammed and just cruise for style. big body non-sports cars look more dope anyway.

Burger Tuning makes a JB4 unit that per is probably the best tuning option available for engines with FI. It can take the B58 in the Supra and add 100 hp / 80 lbtq for 600 and a set of upgraded/re-gapped sprak plugs. For 600 you'll be crushing M3's and hunting M5s in the supra. It's a piggy back unit so if you need warranty work you just unplug before taking it in for service and it creates no log flags.

You really had to make an entire video of a definition this simple? Look, a tuner defines a car that can be heavily modified with stock internals. Best example: the MK4 Supra's 2JZ engine can handle high HP without changing the block, cams, rods, etc. Aswell as the RB25/-26 (R34 GT-R, K20 (S2K, SR20 (180SX, 4G63 (Evo VIII, N54B30 (335i, LS# (countless vehicles) and so on.

LOL the end example pretty much describes my civic. 500 horses and I time attack it, but i drive it to the local car meet on thursdays and i slam the coilovers and crank the camber kits just to trigger people. Besides im pretty about the Hard Parking looks sick and i dont street race, local track is cheap and open till midnight.
