It's so sad that nowadays basically every car brand can't afford to release something unusual, brave, wicked, at this point every car feels like it's already old. Imagine M8 having a V12, 750hp let's say and all carbon body, stripping off 200kilos for eg, it would be insane, awesome, exciting, expensive, but it wouldn't be just another car. :(

I gotta say the gesture control is the most gimmicky thing I've seen in recent memory. You're already raising your hand, why would I want to make a gesture which might not be recognized by the car instead of turning a knob or pressing a button. Great review though, thanks Doug.

BMW needs to make a mid-engine supercar. Something to rival the Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan. They have so much potential, and yet they claim their M8 is the halo car. Put it next to proper supercars, and itll come dead last in performance.

This car will fail. No one will buy it. Looks like a Korean car from the outside, inside glossy surfaces that will collect dust and fingerprints. And it's an overpriced BMW. And it's just couple things which mean that no one will buy it.

If they put the v12 from the m760i in this, it would have been perfect, manual transmission aswell but that is not happening the v12 would have really differentiated it and gave it more value, like the 850csi.

Great, now we have to learn BMW sign language to change the station. haha So is it a better Mustang? Looks a little longer maybe. Definitely a better interior. Can buy 2 or 3 well equipped Mustangs for that price.
