Hyunadi's dedicated to the sedan is admirable. Unlike Ford and GM who've largely given up. Every 5-10 years SUVs and Big trucks go through a cycle from Selling like hot cake sales to dinosaurs no one wants in their drive way. When gas is cheap SUVs crank out faster than newspapers. When gas goes up a mere few cents, you find For Sale signs on every SUV on the side of the road. When SUV sales plummet, small car sales riseand the foreign automakers are really good at making small cars that are not only fuel efficient and relatively inexpensive. but excellent build quality and aesthetically stylish. Meanwhile Detroit is laughed at with their ridiculous toaster wagons. Ford Focus, Fiesta, Chevy Spark. Meanwhile Toyota has the Carolla, Mazdas 3 series, Hyundais Accent, Hondas Civic. As Ford and GM scale back their car vehiclesToyota has Seven DIFFERENT ONES on the market. Including the best selling Camry and not to mention their Lexus subsidiary.

About the engine choices. it's not about the hp and torque numbers. It's about the acceleration. Also it's important to note that the 32 mpg Sonata is the one that's equipped with the Start/Stop function. The one without it is rated the same. But once again none of that matters because what ever naturally aspirated gas engines are rated at, they rarely ever get close to it. For example the 2019 Sonata is rated at 28 mpg combined but people are reporting around 23 combined. The 2020 1. 6t Sonata is rated at 31 combined and is reported getting around 28 mpg. Turbo engines typically are closer to the EPA estimate vs naturally aspirated. If I were buying one I'd get the 1. 6t imho. With the turbo you at least feel like you're going faster than you actually are when compared to the anemic non turbocharged gas. Thanks for reading my essay. lol

I'm guessing that feature is discontinued quickly, because rookies are gonna use it, and crash into all kinds of things because the wheels were turned when they got out. In the commercial, the man pulls his car from an expired meter, into a yellow zone and just sits there at his table. The meter person should have written him up for that too, the fine is bigger so. ticket quotas are a thing.

I could see that washer fluid thing being handy depending on where you live. In Phoenix I might go through one bottle of fluid a year. I spent a week in Denver a couple summers ago and used almost an entire bottle just through the week I was there. Basically every time the car was parked it rained or misted, or trees and flowers, etc, etc. Might have just been the time of year.

A family member used to be a manager in the auto division at Bose - its more than likely those atmospheric sound snippets are there to show you the dynamic range and surround-sound quality of the speakers, and are not intended to be listened to for a long time. Bose enjoys doing this type of thing, which anyone who has been to a demonstration in a Bose store can attest.

The feature where you can configure the outside air coming in after you use your windshield washer would be great here in Louisiana. A couple times of year we get these things called love bugs and they will make a mess of your windshield. When you use the washer fluid to get them off they smell really bad. So I could see how that would be a great feature to have here.

I just saw one of these in person yesterday. They look really good in person. I don't get the smart park thing though. Yes, you can get your car into a tight spot, but enjoy the door ding, key scratch or attack by the person next to you when they can't get into their car and they are nuts.

never understood the function that lets you move your car whilst you're not inside it. if the parking spot is too small to open your doors, the owners of the cars next to that spot won't be able to open their own doors and will probably ding your door trying to get in. useless.
