I've had one of these for two years and have loved every second of it. Honestly fit and finish is better than cars twice the price and the engine and chassis are a dream. Could the transmission be geared a littler shorter and the infotainment be better? (yes and yes) But its such a great, fun daily driver and can fit 5 people comfortably and has 0 reliability issues. I plan on owning it for a long time to come. Glad you finally reviewed one doug!

not all that high performance 477 HP from a high revving 5. 0L V8 with no forced induction. I would also argue that the GS-F is not actually competing with the M5/E63s, but rather the M-performance and 43-line variants of those platforms. Lexus never developed a turbocharged V8 engine for any of their cars, and they don't seem interested in getting into that market because of cost and lack of clout.

Personal I'm the ding bat that would pay the price for this new, because it's built nice. endless but dated style, and the reliability and well built design is a 80k price tag for me. call me weird but I love reliability and longivity. this car is way better then many Chevy's and Ford's and dodges. then again unfair comparison

Yeah a horrible new car. My grandpa went into the dealer to buy a base model es350 but ended up with a, um, a well equipped one of these because they didn t have a grey es350 on the lot. You thought it couldn t be worse, didn t you. Well, he sold it eight months later for a profit of negative 30, 000

The GS model was voted the most reliable of the Lexus brand. You can use it as a daily driver and commuter car with no issues, like a Toyota Camry. Yet, it sold poorly. But, with the GS being phased out, it's going to be a favorite of collectors and enthusiasts, driving up the resale values.

I find it interesting that Doug likes the blue tint and the engine cover on this car but bashed the engine cover for having the same blue tint and because it is made from fake carbon fiber on the RC-F even though both cars have the same engine and engine cover.

Think of it as 540i and E43/53 AMG (XF S, S6) competitor and I actually thought it made more sense in terms of performance and cost. I almost bought one because it will probably be last V-8 sport sedan and I'll probably be able to daily it for 20 years.

I would literally pick a Mercedes or BMW over any Lexus any day. They have made a name in the past for being reliable but I have four relatives that have all owned one and have spent thousands repairing them. Plus they are fossils and overpriced
