Every time merc AMG beaten by BMW M cars, it will resort to bigger capacity engine. Up to the highest 6. 3 litre (actually 6. 2. BMW gave up because between E30 M3 and w201 260E and 2. 3 16v, BMW won. Then came E36 M3 and merc had to install bigger engine for its C36 in order to beat m3. Then came E46 M3. Merc AMG resorted to C43 After that, E90 M3. Merc went C55. With the F10 M3, merc responded even higher to C63. So BMW knew AMG just cannot outpaced them on a level playing field.

You forgot to mention the motorized shade for the rear window! And the little vents in the sunroof shade allow you to keep the sun out and still provide ventilation. Not quirky, but rather brilliant! I do this all the time in the summer. leave the sunroof popped open with the shade closed to keep the car cool while I am at work. I love my E55. Still gets heads turning at 16 years old!

The holes in the sunroof are in there so you can close the cover while having the sunroof open so you have a more controlled airflow while also not letting in potentially direct sunlight on very hot days. It's actually extremely pleasant while driving and a nice not overengineered way of providing this.

Best E Class ever made. Also the map reading lights being under the rear view mirror is so that even when it's on it does not disturb the driver or passengers. It's the best placement. Even when on at night, you see the light shining on the passenger but it does not shine in your field of view.

Why are american so obsessed about cup holders? 90 % i drive for about 20min to work, so if i have to drink i do it bevor or after. I dont need a cup holder. Are americans so afraid of dehydrate their massive bodys, because driving is like doing sports for them?

9: 30 - It's a sort of an air vent. You can lift the sunroof while having the sun cover shut, allowing fresh air to flow in the car, especially if you have the windows open whilst not allowing sun coming in. Pretty smart, ain't it?

Re Hidden button in the Centre Control Stack: In Germany this is known as the Place where Taxi drives put their wallet since when you didn t Option the cd changer it would just be an empty space perfectly sized for your wallet.
