You might be surprised which cars are incredibly rare - and today, I'm going to tell you some unusual ones. Here's an explanation of a few especially rare cars you might never notice in traffic, even though they're exceptionally uncommon. RippyTheRazer: My favorite rare cars are special edition VW Golfs - 2019 rabbit edition for example. 3000 total in NAR: 1000 urano gray and 1000 cornflower blue. Those are obvious. What's less obvious is the 500 rabbits made in standard white and black colors, they look like standard golf GTI yet are 1/500. Similarly the mk5 R32 golf VR6 - 5000 total produced but only a few hundred were in the standard white

I have a car rarer than all of these. I have a 2018 HFP Civic Si. HFP stands for Honda Factory Performance. It comes with 19 inch wheels, Type R suspension, the LSD from the Type R, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, side skirts, and a revised front and rear bumper. It was a 7, 000 option on a freaking Civic and I'm not aware of a single other one in the country so far that is a 2 door. I estimate there is probably less than 50 ever made

A neighbor of mine had a Chevy Venture Warner Brothers edition minivan, which came with a ton of bizarre features (including a set of pajamas and beach towels, apparently. I have never actually seen another one on the road. I have no idea what the sales numbers are, but they must have been super low compared to the regular Venture.

Doug, if you ever plan on making an actual video on this generation Astra (wich I'd love to see, look for the Chevrolet badged one sold in Chile! It seems they got the OPC version, wich has the top of the line 2 liter turbo with 240hp. That's a lot of power for a hot hatch from 2005, certainly making it interesting.

In Canada-land, we used to see B9/Tribecas on an occasional basis, enough that it wasn't that unusual. Now you hardly see any of them as they became cheap used buys and the third owner sent it packing to the yard when the headgaskets went as the repair cost was 2x the worth of the car. So most of them are gone now.

Speaking of SAAB, when they went under, they had just started production of the new 9-5. The sedan is relatively rare, but of the wagon variant they had only just made the pre-production run. They sold all of these to customers, making it one of the rarest cars ever with only 7 ever produced.

I have a 2009 Kia Borrego. V-8, sunroof, and navigation, black with chrome 18 wheels, 2WD, 82k miles. Love the smooth power. gets about 19 mpg combined. I bought it because of the 4. 6L V-8 and it's 337 hp! I see one on the road maybe once every 3 or 4 months. fairly rare.

Funny, the US-spec B-Class EV would be a weird sighting in Canada, even where the regular B-Class was sold between 2005-2019. I m pretty sure we only got the 200T and 250 versions here. Interestingly, they now sell the A-Class hatchback here as a replacement!

I keep hearing Doug talking about rare cars with tens of thousands of models being built and I can't help but think about my car where only 250 were ever sold in the US. DOUG! review my car! I emailed you and everything!
(2013 Volvo C30R Polestar)

In Korea, the Kia Borego was sold as the Kia Mohave. They offered a 3. 0 turbocharged v6 diesel and 4. 6 naturally aspireted v8. Now, the second generation, called the Mohave The Master is selling and they offer a 3. 0 turbocharged diesel v6 engine.
