Thanks for the post, I really enjoy all of your videos. This Viper has always been in my type 5 dream car collections. Congrats on getting one for yourself, it looks awesome Great to see another man living his car dreams and being in/from my hometown, a bit of inspiration for me with every vid I see of yours. Pretty ballsy of you to take it for a spin on all these pothole ridden Philly streets haha.

I am surprised he says you can feel the weight of the front end. Yes, the engine is heavy, but as far as I know, the Viper GTS has a weight balance of 48: 52 - so actually more weight at the back. Also, the Oreca GTS-R Vipers had some pretty amazing balance were pretty nimble. So it's not like this car is just for driving in a straight line, it can definitely handle.

You know what I hate even more than SUVs trying to race you? SUVs dawdling around at 80% of the speed limit for miles, and deciding to try to race you the moment you find some stretch of free road and veer to the left to overtake them. Bonus points for having another car behind you that immediately closes the gap that you previously occupied.

im still waiting for the part when he drives it. All I saw was him talking and cruising around like every other car on the road. I thought the video would be him pushing it around corners on a empty back road or something to see how that car handles and what not. Good thing he got new tires for this video.

I will admit to really liking what I heard of the sound through your mic, Doug. I think it sounds very much like a raw, American muscle-car, which it most certainly is. Now about that wheel and tire setup. The GTS needs bigger on all accounts and it would help with the stability and handling.

About being intimidated by your car I have a mustang GT and I'm intimidated by it For one it's a stick shift and I'm not used to it yet The other reason is while it may only have a V8 not a V10 like the Viper its still a freakishly powerful car and like the Viper it's unpredictable at speed

the reason people crash these or any car with respectable horsepower is that they are either a) a dumbass or b) they dont respect the car. the viper has a lot of torque and it is instantaneous. you have to respect it. with good tires and dry roads its easy to handle as long as its pointed straight.

At then end is me everyday. The only time people want to race is when I am doing things like trunk full of groceries, in traffic(really lets settle down with wanting to race in traffic, or sometimes I just wanna go somewhere like a normal person.
