Idk, everyone gets so excited about this car, while I'm like. I wouldn't buy this car for 50k because it's trying so hard and so little at the same time, I mean it would be such a bad daily use and at the same time it's not a good racecar either - it just falls flat at everything compared to other cars, I can see why the car lost value while the 2 you are comparing it to gained value.

God I wish Mercedes would do something equivalent to the SLR now. And no the AMG GT doesn't count. I mean a completely bonkers, long, wide, gorgeous land missile with gobs of power. Maybe pair the 600hp 4. 0TT with a hybrid powertrain, bring it up to I dunno, 700+? A man can dream.

Ive sat in an SLR a couple days ago and being inside of one in person is just breathtaking. Also looking at the outside in person. And even though the interior is really basic, the fact that its an SLR just keeps that excitement in you.

The fact that it's a McLaren makes me really love this car, but for practical money, I'd be just as happy in a Viper (and maybe happier, given the Viper comes with an even louder V10. RIP Viper.
