Eventually it will probably be illegal to drive your own car on public roads. As self-driving vehicles become more and more capable and common, and as statistics start showing that they get in far fewer accidents than human drivers, the nanny states of the world will protect us all from ourselves by outlawing manual driving. But first they'll gain widespread public support by launching media campaigns to demonize manual driving, like they did with drunk driving in the 1980s, and with talking/texting on a cell phone while driving in the '00s. It will probably happen in Western Europe and Canada first, as they are so enlightened. The first U. S. state to do it will probably be California, followed closely by New York.

Its amazing how much Cadillac puts into their cars only to get shit on by brainwashed customers who flock to generic looking German cars. Cadillac was the first to use a Night Vision, they were the first to use heads up display, the first to use Mag ride, the first to have cylinder deactivation, the first to have a camera as you rear view mirror, and guess what? When the Germans copy the will get all the praise about how cool it is. I remember when honda put 2 screen in the honda accord people completely trashed it, only to praise the Germans for doing it a few years later.

11: 00 look at the FUEL GAUGE. NO NEEDLE. I bought a new 2019 Cadillac XT4, same deal NO NEEDLE on the gas gauge, only small lights on the outside of the gauge. AWFUL DESIGN. I ran out of gas TWICE with the XT4 and sold that POS. You can not easily read that gas gauge 'at a glance' like is needed while driving down the road at 60 mph, or ever 30 mom in traffic. VERY DANGEROUS design due from Cadillac. You are going to HATE your car, because of this NO NEEDLE gas gauge.

I don't understand how an automobile drives itself. Here in Pennsylvania, the roads and highways are so full of potholes and ruts that we constantly dodge. Does a car that drives itself do that? or would you dive in a hole and ruin a tire, damage your car-or both. Also, we have no lines painted on the roads and highways, they all worn off and no new ones. I would think a driverless car would get you killed in PA.

Douglas, the lowly Traverse also has the camera rear view mirror (which we leave off because as you said, it is disorienting. The traverse also has the rear seat reminder and the same 3. 6 liter v6. Oh yeah and it has the teen driver system. It is a waste, as is the rear seat reminder. My teen knows how to drive and I dont forget anyone in the back. For 70k Ill take a zl1 Le or a hellcat redeye.

I've come to really like you Doug. I'm really enjoying your videos. To be honest, you've grown on me, as at first I was annoyed. ( or who knows, maybe I resented how you covered some of my favorite cars. I praise Cadillac for coming out with such a wonderful car Let's just hope GM doesn't also choose to stop making it before they give it a chance. Who knows this might be my next car purchase.

I have a 2018 German branded car with 365 degree cameras and wish it would have a dash cam mode. I suspect that this brand will a cue from Cadillac. It seems to be a simple firmware upgrade for newer models. This really should be standard and at the time of an accident to indicate better who is at fault. I am no fan of Cadillac, but that seems to be a very nice model.

I thought much positive about CT6 than now, disappointed, matter of fact engine is noisy, I can hear it well, another thing, what's special about it? , you show mainly complicated electronics, kids stuff, when new it works after couple years when warranty be gone like these modern phones it might give so much headache to fix it will cost a fortune, simple is genius,

I love Cadillacs and Lincolns it just seems like they don't hold there value. And I know a few people that have been having problems with them. And a few years back I knew a couple people who had problems with the North Star motor blowing head gaskets. I'm not sure if they even use that engine anymore I hope not I haven't been keeping up with them like I use to.

I don't really care for Cadillac that much but one thing I absolutely love about this car that it doesn't have one of those stuck on screen infotainment systems I like the fact this one here is fully integrated into the dashboard and makes it look like Cadillac Engineers really took the time out to design the car and the infotainment system properly.
