I think you just have to keep in mind the feature creep of cars over the decades. Even if you buy a car from 10 years ago you get less for your money. I bet for the 70's this was pretty decked out compared to everything else. but of course it sucks now. You can get all these features optimized and more for 25-35K now. That tells you a lot about how great capitalism can be. Also, in general - the British make terrible cars.

Doug, you clutz. You approach the rear door and face it square on. Which means tou are at an angle to the car, like the door. And then you back up while pivoting toward the opening and Then sit. Then you put one leg in at a time and close the door. Dont be a dofus. You get into a car the way it was designed, not like some other was designed to be entered. Come on.

Doug, The T RST switch which you had no idea what it does is to reset the time clock. As a former owner back in the day I had to figure this out on my own since, as you found out, it is Not mentioned anywhere in the owners manual. So now you know its function. Happy to say that now I drive a manual shift DB9 which is an amazing automobile. Thank You. Doc Owen.

This is the first car I remember riding in with parents as a little kid Although my dad reckons he only kept it for a year. and my mum had a weird car you never see as well. a Gucci badged XJS estate. or shooting brake I guess. I have never seen another one and there is not even much online about them. I sure wish we still had them both

Americans clearly need labels, does every car label a manual handbrake or the pedals at your feet, you have two stalks for the mirrors and it takes time to know which one does what, reallly, where would we be without Astons like the Lagonda, its so annoying frustrating when Doug says he loves a car and then slates every bit of it.

30: 55 Quite rightly so. This was the car that almost broke Aston Martin. Horrible in almost every way. Initially extremely expensive, ugly, very unreliable, especially the carburated earlier models. Under 10 MPG. Boring and uninspiring to drive. They only made about 600 in 14 years. No wonder.

This is a car I would never buy. It's a ridiculous attempt at trying to be technologically advanced. Yet, it loses all sense of convenience and practicality; that's what makes it so wierd. Not worth the asking price. Even that is ridiculous.

Sorry but this car is like an old woman trying to look younger with a ton of makeup. It's really ugly and shows the reason why the British industry failed. British cars were really cool in the 50's and 60's and then crush bang.

There is Aston Martin branding on the lid of the fuse compartment. So if you pick up a girl and tell her you've got an Aston Martin and she like yeah right it's a lagonda just lift that lid and impress her lol.
