Doug, you sounds like a complete moron, It's like they screwed the reflector on as an after thought. You think they required those when it first came out in 1979? Of course it looks like it was added on after the fact, because it was The whole mystique of the G comes from it's decades of offroad excellence. Not because some movie star in Hollywood drives one. Learn a thing or two before you start critiquing a vehicle like this.

Maybe this is just a poor guy's complaint, but wouldn't removing the screws from the reflectors/turn signal housing make this a less future-proofed car? It doesn't look bad to me at all, and as a guy who likes my cars to be relatively easy to work on I'd prefer the screws. I know, I know, the average G Wagon owner can afford trim pieces/going to the mechanic for everything. Just saying

People buying and driving that car are also iPhone owners. want the new model for an insane amount of money, but its basically the same model as the last one they made. and they still think they're cool and stylish. And it's a question of image. nothing else. the coolest is a matter of taste. a Urus or a Cayenne are way more cool and smooth to look at in my opinion.

Dear g wagon team stop listening to compliant of the guy who don't own 1 g wagon or any other luxury car and complaining about Mercedes class. the only thing u guys needed to change was a camera n that cup holder from the back. other then those all old classic n old school r the reason to buy the g wagon please keep the legacy alive for our new generation

i STRONGLY disagree with it being better than a range rover. at the price of a g550, the rover is faster and more comfortable than this. the g wagon is still pretty cool, but i have to say its right behind the range rover, its only in the lead because people have a emotional attachment to the G class and celebrities boosts the demand for it

What happened is soooooo easy to understand: the dealer knew quiet well in advance what improvements were coming in the new model, so this guy was criticizing all those items about the old model just before the release of the new model in order to show how much better the new model really is. So fake. Americans can sell anything.

I have been driven the new Swiss Military G Wagon a couple of times during my army days, in the mountains, on the snow and I really loved it, so capable, so fun to drive, because it is its playground But every time I see a dude with an AMG in the city center of Zurich, I always dream to scrap it with all the violence it deserves

Ive always kinda felt that the G wagon is basically MBs version of the Wrangler, and in redesigning it they essentially did exactly what Jeep did between the vastly outdated JK to the new JL, keep what their core audience and G wagon brand lovers want, and update and modernize the rest.
