BMW should put a depreciation gauge on the dashboard right next to the tachometer. It would have to be something like a calendar / odometer combo gauge, with a dollar figure overlay, so you could see how much value your new BMW is losing with every passing mile, and every passing day. This gauge would run continually in the background, so that when you get into the vehicle after a prolonged absence, it would be able to tell you exactly how much less it is worth since the last time you drove it. I would also suggest that they include a Doomsday / Sunset feature with the depreciation gauge, (they could market it as a package. This feature would activate when the car has achieved maximum worthlessness, which can be described as the point where it would make more sense financially to have it crushed and made into a coffee table, than it would to replace the carbon ceramic brakes.

As a owner of two E46 and three E39 and once even a E38 I am still waiting for a model that will be a proper replacement. Until this day I haven't seen one. And turning from 6 cylinders to 4 made it only worse (for me. I'm not saying I dislike it in genereal but I am not as thrilled as I am whenever I enter any of my current cars. To be honest to the max: whenever I sit in any newer BMW I do not feel the brand and all what stands behind it but I feel like I could sit in any other brand from A to Z since it feels like smartpohones. They are all rectangluar with a black screen. Turned off and thrown into a pile of phones you won't see much of a difference. Throw in that pile a Motorola RAZR V1 and you instantly know what I mean: ) and that is what most of the older E models are.

Just bought a new 2019 330i. Have been experience some problem while the car downshifts between 10 and 15 MPH. Every time when I about to come to a stop, I would stop giving it gas or break to let the car rolling forward. During that rolling, I have been experiencing some jerkyness - almost as if the car was trying to brake for me slightly. It happens very consistently and I can replicate that almost every time I tried. I went to the service center and the technician felt the same thing too. We tested drive another new 330i and it had the same issue. Does anyone know if this is some problem with its transmission? Is this normal? It's my first BMW so I'm not quite sure. Thanks ahead.

just drove a 4 series convertible 2. 0 turbo. my main car is an 2008 Acura TL which is an entirely different engine but they both have the same 0-60 time. I loved the handling and the ride was smooth as butter but the turbo lag was horrendous. Turbos cant hide what the engine really is and thats a 4 cylinder. I would put the pedal to the floor and like nothing would happen for a second or two. Once it picks up speed its fine but say you want to bust a move and pull out into traffic. That turbo lag will get you killed

Seriously don't buy a car without watching Doug's reviews. I've been driving a Range Rover sport for the last 7 years and just discovered there is a small stick called misfuel protection device hidden in the truck which is used to open the fuel protection latch. I stopped at a gas station in nowhere land in which for some reason they use petrol pumps to fill diesel cars. Without that small stick it's impossible to get it filled, luckily the guy at the gas station knew this and saved me.

Doug is not because of market trend that the new 3 series is not doing well. It is simply because the new 3 series it does not look like a BMW 3 series. Who ever design this did not bother asking the consumer who would buy the car and design it all wrong, starting from headlights, rear light, side profile is not a BMW. I will say Doug, the Interior is the only thing they have done right

Never fails to amaze that German car manufacturers can't figure out how to install ventilated seats in their 60, 000+ vehicles, while Korean, Japanese, and North Americans can offer them in vehicles that cost 1/3 the price. I guess i shouldn't be surprised, they've only got cup holders right rather recently.

The saddest thing is that I can't judge new cars, say that they are good or bad, because i will never afford them: CI can only afford my slightly rusted 98' 528i. So I can't say that new BMW are bad or good. I could buy this one after 20 years, so maybe then i could say something about it.

With all the tech in this car BMW should have added a feature that showed you all the fluid temperatures as well as an oil pressure indicator. With all the tech in this car I fell they left out a feature would indicate useful information. They should offer gauges as an option.

since when is 5, 6 seconds worth a 4 out of 10? BMW sucks mostly because the usual buyers are pces of SHIT / and the price tag of all things should be a downer, 50 thousand? Even though the 3 is nice enough, I can never not think it's a better idea to pay a bit extra to have a 5 series.
