Doug, you are an idiot. For 2020 the Kia Soul comes with 2 engines. Of the 5 models the top model, that you tested, comes with the 1. 6L Turbo engine. The other 4 models comes with the 2. 0L no turbo motors. In the 2019 year there was 3 models & 3 motors. The Base model came with the 1. 6L 130hp motor. The Plus model came with the 2. 0L 164hp motor. An the Exclaim came with the 1. 6L 201hp Turbo motor. For 2020 they took away the three odd names & changed them to five models that sound like Hondas. The four lower models all now come with a 2. 0L motor and a cvt automatic transmission, but unfortunately have been depowered down to 142hp. So until you get the top model, the only real differences in the models is the exterior trim & electronics at each level.

i have a 2019 kia soul base model. i like it for the 5 star crash safety rating. enough room for my uncles wheelchair with the back seats folded down. roomy in the front too. enough room for two big guys up front without bumping elbows like most economy cars. good enough acceleration for me, handles nicely, feels solid around turns and on the highway. like the economy mode then regular for when the a/c is on and more acceleration and sport mode for highway driving. everything feels solid and decent quality for the price. very happy with it and can understand why i see a lot of them on the road. i highly recommend it, especially if you need some cargo capacity but don't want to go up to the higher priced suv's.

What is wrong with this guy? The Kia Soul is the second ugliest vehicle out. Juke takes first place. Just bad design and bad car. The paint choices are just as bad. Sure if your a sixteen year old and its a first car but anyone with a shred of self respect would pass. Heres some advice there Doug. How about a Mazda3. Its better in every way like ride and interior but it is by far superior in exterior looks and funner to drive. Then again ol Doug here gave the Motor Trend Truck of the year a 42 on his silly Doug score so we dont expect too much from this guy lol. Shout out to the Kia Soul Nintendo switch cheap plastic info screen. Kindergarteners unite

I had a 2017 Turbo version for a couple of months and I hated it. Such a piece of crap. The side mirrors fold in and out automatically for example. Except they would get stuck. Kia wouldn't fix it. I traded it for a 2008 Jeep Sahara. A note about the infotainment system. The Bluetooth connection isn't stable, it takes 30-45 seconds for it to engage.

more electric crap no one really wants. when it came out in 2010, simple cheap, room, run, easy to get into. so they sold by the bucketfull. now over priced with all the crap that can go wrong. the age of the buyer is 55-75, do you really think they wand mood lights. kia going way off.

The driver's seat rear pocket is likely missing for safety purposes. The driver can safely reach into the pocket on the back of the passenger seat if they are careful, but not the driver's seat. I mean, it's a pocket, so why would that be a cost saving measure? What did it save? A few bucks?

If you break rear giant circle light While you moving to another apartment, it will cost more than rent. I guess. Thats i love 90s and early 2000 cars. Simply they had two in front and two in the rear, thats it. If they broke, go to the wrecker, buy them under 50 bucks and keep going.

I helped my mom get one. To put things in perspective: I drive a Stinger GT. and I really like the newer Soul. Kias are so damn well made. If I could go back in time and tell my child self that I would become a Kia fanboy, I would be rolling in the grass.

Im really impressed with the kia soul my grandma hit a moose head on and totaled it, Neither her or the kids in the backseat sustain and injuries and i have seen f-350 hit a moose and get written off, she bought another kia soul with the insurance money

When he said get a Fiesta instead? I knew he's a nationalist car tool. One thing about this ( son ln law has one) is the engine looks lost in the bay. I mean its a SMALL engine. Plenty of open room under the hood. Not used to that nowadays.
