What a total pile of crap. It doesnt even use the six wheels. I think they pulled the rear most driveshaft because it was so ungodly slow using that shit motor to turn six big tires. Imagine owning that and someone looking under and saying, oh, the rear wheels are for show. What a loser. Its like the saga of fake side pipes but much MUCH worse

100, 000 for 6x6 converted wrangler that's not even 6x6. Ouch. In all seriousness, if it's on stock drive train (has stock engine so no reason to believe trans, t-case, or axles have been swapped) then the 6x6 conversion isn't even halfway done. The g wagon might be a lot of cosmetics but at least the drive train is figured out.

Everyone always copies what Mercedes Benz does because Mercedes invents everything that's used on cars. ABS, seat belts, air bags, Mercedes invented the internal combustion engine, diesel engine, they invented the first automobile. I'd say this thing is pretty bad for off roading, but only from the famous video of the 6 wheel F-350 struggling to get up a paved hill. Center axle had the power, but the rear axle just added weight and acted as a lever point preventing the center axle from making full contact with the ground. Still, very quirky.

The drive shaft was in the bed. I'm assuming you would not want it engaged all the time since it would be difficult to make turns. perhaps you would install it for certain off road conditions? I'm rationalizing about a crazy vehicle, so maybe there is no logical explanation: )

I believe the conversion is by a company that was called Bruiser and this was a SEMA concept vehicle for their company a few years ago which is why some things are cosmetic only, like the lack of a connecting rear drive shaft for the extra wheels.

Also, the rural carriers that use these jeep wranglers have to buy then themselves, and do all the maintenance themselves, so if you see a used one for sale, just know that it's been really beat up, and usually maintained as cheaply as possible.

I would bet that they had the back axle hooked up and it was causing tracking issues, wobbling at high speed and/or tire squeal. It's definitely set up in a way that it could be done properly and it looks like it probably was for a while.
