Absolutely beautiful car 1967 stang had same wheelbase, was about 2 wider, and 2 longer than the 66. Essentially the same size car, especially on the inside. The major difference was the change in the engine compartment to fit the big block engine. Pretty much all cars had wing vent windows in the front (and sometimes rear as well) windows for better ventilation; most cars back then didnt have a/c. And as long as you werent stopped in traffic, it was good enough to keep you cool, too.

nice job on the fast back. I drive a 70 coupe. copper sunburst bottom and a black vinyl top. power is a 351w stroker out to a 399ci. 10 to1 comp ratio, comp cam, roller lifters and rockers, brodix heads, balanced, quik fuel carb. comp extreme energy cam. pretty radical. sounds bad. made 500hp on the dyno. 4 wheel power disc brakes, modified AOD tranny. 8 posi. 16 rubber, Hooker competition ceramic headers w/2 1/2 pipes. driven daily. keep them old mustangs alive.

Dont want to burst Your Bubble. But the Steering Wheel is not Factory. The 67 Fastback had a Wood Grain Steering Wheel with Diamond Incerts. The Hood turn Signals where Stock on the 390 Automatic Fastback. The Difference in the 67and 68 mustang. the 68 had side Markers on the Rear Quarter Panel and the 67 had None. Im not hear to Criticize anything. stating the Facts. because I was an Owner of a 1967 390 Automatic Fastback. You have a Beautiful Mustang.

Youve got 21/2 80, or 80 21/2 AC. I guess the two vent windows could be considered 1/2 AC. Youre dad did a stand up job in restoring your ride. Treat it like a the jewel it is & pass it down. P. S. If you take it to IRP for showing it off or whatever in Indy put orange cones 50 out by from that baby. Those people be are nuts. Especially in Brownsburg & Avon Have brothers living in both.

Should he put that car in a garage? If you put that mustang in a garage start it up, maintain it and sell it, in a couple of years you could make a good amount of money. Personally I think Shoes are ment to be worn, cars are ment to be driven. I also think nice things are ment to be kept nice. So drive it if you want, but baby it. She is a beaut.

Nice. I took my drivers test in a Ford with a 390 Four Barrel but it was in the Country Squire Station Wagon. Youd think it would be hard to park but it had power steering and you could see really well out the back. I always wanted a car like this. My friend had similar a GT 350 and it was tied for best in the school.

Dad did a great job on your car The only thing I would suggest is to get rid of the after market junk in the interior. Other then that, beautiful car. At one time I owned a 67, but I had the convertible. Black w/white top, white c stripe on the side, 289 V8.

While Ill never be able to own my own 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, its always been my dream to just drive one some day. Scotty, do you know how someone can drive one of these cars somewhere? Even just for ten minutes, that would be a dream come true
