my 1994 k1500 has a misfire. there is a line going from the throttle body to the left valve cover that is broken, but i dont think its the vacuum line. i took it to my class (im in automotive running start) and they said it runs lean at lower rpms but rich at higher rpms, it also shakes at idle. its the 5. 7L v8, its still pretty powerful and gets 16mpg average, do you think it is timing or ecm? i also have no catalytic converter and a super 40 for exhaust. appreciate your opinion on it, thanks, its my first vehicle and has been a very solid and dependable vehicle and wanted your advice on it

I had a 92 Dodge (Mitsubishi engine) Colt years ago and it was great, especially the engine. Manual trans. Smooth and efficient. Body was thin sheet metal that you could bend with a concentrated stare. Parents had a 87 Colt carbureted and as good if not better than mine. Not even a radio or a/c in that one. You could pick up the rear end by the fender and slide it sideways over gravel. Wish I had another.

Interesting episode. Kinda surprising the amount of space in the back. Bet that thing is super good on fuel too. Pretty spacious engine bay too because its such a small motor. Lol. Makes it easier to work on though. I love engine bays with lots of room and have since I owned an 80s Mustang with a 4 cylinder in it. Lol. Many that was a spacious engine bay, cause it was meant to house a 5. 0.

Hi Scotty, have you heard of the Skoda brand? It belongs to the VAG group and its supposed to be at the top of the list for reliability. Very popular cars among taxi drivers, theyre cheaper too and seemingly the carmakers strategy is to use the Audi/ VW tech thats a couple of years old, so basically once its been tried and tested on Audi/VW models.

Hi David This is what we should be driving in the USA. There is plenty of oil in the world but our money is no good. Mitsus are quicker than other Japanese cars, and built better than some. Yes, Toyotas, but they are only a little better if at all. They make Camrys here in Kentucky. Your car is prettier and so is your English.

Love the video especially about how to tell if the revs are high or low from engine noise I guess when you drive a car enough you never really look and the rev meter any way. What I like about that car is even though its a fairly modern car the engine looks pretty easy to work on. Good to have a car thats not over complicated.

Title should have said What Cars are Really Like in Kenya Like saying what cars are really like in North America, and showing the world a beat down VW from Canada. Interesting vid non the less. Africa is a continent and not a country. I guess technically, the title is correct though, lol Kenya is in the continent of Africa.

When I was young in South Africa a standard engine size was a four cylinder manual 1. 3 liter and the sport edition was 1. 8 liter. There were of course BMWs and Mercedes with larger engines but that was for wealthier people. In Canada I now have a 4. 7 liter Hemi: -)

Nice video I spend a lot of time in Kenya and moving there soon. Im probably buying the Mobius II that is built there. It and the Volkswagen Polo Vivo are the only 2 vehicles built there and are affordable. Everything else costs 3 times what it does in the USA.
