I really would like a van a cargo van actually but you all got me scared to get a ram promaster city or ford with your stories about reliability etc. Im glad to see Toyota is doing this. Saw some more videos of this tj thing. Not bad. Doubt it will look like that exactly. Definitely would fit my needs and get me into the Toyota kingdom finally. Honestly only the Tacoma I would give serious consideration but even then the truck bed is a waste of space most of the time. This TJ looks very promising for my needs. I have a 2015 Jeep renegade trailhawk now and I want something more reliable and people rave about Toyota like Scotty. I also want something gas efficient.

Hey Scotty, Im 22 years old and Im buying my first car very soon. Im currently looking at a 2007 Honda Fit with a manual transmission and only 165, 000km. It has a new transmission and clutch installed a couple months ago, and apparently is very lightly driven. No rust, actually looks pretty good, and the owner only wants 1600. Is this a good choice for a first car? Ive never driven a manual car, but Im very experienced with motorcycles and Ive been told that its a lot easier to launch a car than a 2 stroke dirt bike: P

Hey Scotty, I'm having problems with my 4. 0 93 ford ranger. I'm having problems starting it. I have a good battery and alternator. So far I brought a new starter, starter solenoid, starter relay switch, clutch pedal sensor. The last thing I can think it could be is the ignition switch. Also when I jump my solenoid with a screwdriver I can do it when the clutch is out and my starter stays engaged. Reaching out for help. Thanks

I agree with scotty on keeping his old cars and not buying a newer car. Why replace it if it still works fine? Both cars look great too. Even if you have the money to buy a newer car, do not do it until you really need to do it. Why waste money when you do not have to do it? You really do not have to keep up with the joneses. Those cars were made in Japan. They are irreplaceable because they are no longer made in Japan.

Sometimes when the cylinder head is removed the top of one piston & cylinder is clearly much darker than the others which is >sometimes< caused by a bad fuel injector causing the head gasket to fail. Defective injectors are often a reason/symptom of starting and various operating issues. Sometimes injectors get worn, sometimes they get restricted/filthy or both.

That Toyota is nothing like an FJ. The FJ was replaced by the 4 runner essentially. Very similar in style and function. Both off road, rugged, vehicles designed for off road travel, outdoor life style while still having room for the family. This new one sounds like a super soccer mom vehicle. It should never even be compared to an FJ or 4Runner.

. hell no i was all excited at first but no way would I buy a tj cruiser, Id like to see a redesigned FJ with the 4. 6 as an option since the forerunner dropped the v8, my brother had a forerunner and we both loved it but the lack of torque even in 4 low was a little disappointing, keep the FJ a utility suv and I think people would be happy

I won't buy brand new vehicles. As a smart individual, I look at everything as an investment, I have a simple rule to not pay a dime more than private sale fair condition value according Kelly Blue Book. I am really happy to say that much like you, when it comes to vehicles, I am a difficult person to impress.
