This New Mustang Changes Everything Indrid Cold: The Ford Mustang GT electric mini pickup truck is going to be a hit It is smaller than the Ranger, lower to the ground, has a range of 90 miles, and has a tow capacity of 1000 pounds. It sits two people shoulder to shoulder and has a cargo bed that is four feet by four feet. However, it has drive assist, Internet, navigation, and auto brakes. That seems to be the trend. A junk car is marketed and it is really badly put together, lack luster, cramped, bland, and weak. However, it has drive assist, Internet, navigation, and automatic brakes Sadly, the worthless gizmos seem to be fooling many people into thinking a garbage car is a good car because they are dazzled by gizmos.

Electric car. once you buy it (deciding a fast car or longer range, that is what you have. you can't change it then. Not true, it really depends on which electric car you are talking about. You really need to know what you are talking about here. Yeah, BEV get less efficient the faster they go. .like above 80mph. is that supposed to be a problem? Most typicall cars (ICE) are less efficient around 65 mph. 2 days to fully charge? Yeah, only if you use any regular standard 120v wall outlet, which is what you can find everywhere around your home or anyone's home or any civilized building. For quicker charging at home, you don't need to buy a special module as you stated, you just need to install an outlet like the one used on an electric dryer machine 40A outlet (500 for just the cost of labor installation. it will charge the vehicle faster than 30 miles/hour. 2 to 3 hour overnight charge is plenty for a daily commuter. Scotty, please stop spreading FUD information on electric vehicles. You wouldn't spread FUD information on ICE vehicles or on Lexus vehicles. would you? Why the double standard? I respect you as a mechanic. hopefully your more than just a good ICE mechanic.

Once again going to have to disagree with Scotty. I actually owned a 92 Geo metro 3 cylinder 5 speed with A/C. Back in early early 2000's. It had 75k on it when I got it. Mechanically that car was bullet proof. now the car itself like the interior and the door handles etc. was total garbage. I bought the car for 700. Used it as a pizza delivery and Courier vehicle. I put a 100, 000 miles on that car in ONE YEAR. The only thing I ever did was change the timing belt, and I had to replace the rear wheel bearings. That car got the crap beat out of it every day. Never had any engine or transmission issue. They even made a turbo model called the Pontiac FireFly. sold it in Canada I think.

Sadly people will probably buy this POS golf cart. And using the Mustang name for it is blasphemy. I own a real Mustang, and it will devalue my car. The Mustang name goes all the way back to 1964, and should never ever be used on anything but a 2 door ICE powered sport coupe. This is worse than Chrysler building a 4 door Charger, because it is powered by batteries. I wonder if they will keep building the real Mustang? And if they do, will it become battery powered by batteries too? This is a sad day for car enthusiasts.

Your criticism of the recharge time seems based on the common false assumption that the car will always need to be charged from totally-empty to full every day. In reality, the car will only be driven about 40 miles (the average daily commute. Most electric cars get about 4 miles per kWh, so the average daily usage is about 10kWh. A typical home charging arrangement will replace that energy in about two hours.

Should of been a two door coup electric then I would believe it was a new age electric mustang bit as it stands it's a sedan heck not even that it's a SUV electric explorer would of been more convincing instead of using the mustang name to sell witch it probably did the opposite it got people mad should of gone with new suv all electric Ford explorer m1 way better name.

The insurance rates for these EVs are ridiculous. What you pay for your premiums takes the place of what you would have spent on gasoline. I found that the Prius was way overpriced with my insurance. The Chevy bolt was so so but the cheapest EV insurance rate of all EVs out there now. Im guessing this mustang EV is going to be way up there lol.

Wait until EVs get fancy transmissions which can make them more efficient. Or solid state batteries which are gonna be safer or something. If you are European that is; where people might have to drive more electric cars because of the EUs regulations on future emissions. If youre American; drive petrol-cars for as long as you can; )

If you want to see a real Mustang in action, check out he movie Bullitt with Steve McQueen driving a 1968 Mustang 390 GT 2+2 Fastback in one of the best car chases in movie history. The Mustang is pitted against a 1968 Dodge Charger 440 Magnum R/T racing around on the hilly streets of San Francisco. Just one word: FANTASTIC car chase.

Will this non mustang lead the herd of EV SUV and challenge Tesla? Well the market didn't like it. I'll buy back my F stocks if it moves ahead of the pack. But ford waited too long and the name mustang makes no sense ford You can put down a deductible like Tesla just 500. You have time to save up for it too
