Ford and Volkswagen Just Changed the Game Custis Standish: Honda and Toyota mostly commit to the long term. Their goal, get it right. American car companies over the last 25 years their goal is let's see if we can come up with something that will make Honda and Toyota owners buy American. For American car companies it always ends in failure. Finally, VW, the last 25 years, has not been a shining example of perfection in automobile building. It's a strange move for Ford.

Good Afternoon Mr Kilmer, having been watching your videos for some time and love your advice. I don't know if people around the world, especially in Australia, are ready to fully electric cars. Outside of city limits, getting enough mileage to travel long distances due to a lack of power supply. In the state of Western Australia; our largest state, once you leave the last town to travel to the eastern states there are powerlines. Even if you want to go off road to prospect for gold, if you run out of power you're stuck there and without a satellite phone there is no way of making a phone call. Perhaps the only way to alert people is to use smoke signals as used by the American Indians. When Ford US made the decision to close down production of Ford vehicles, our last FG-X Falcon was the best produced vehicle in Australia. It's almost identical as the American made Taurus (rear lights slightly different, the special limited FG-X Falcons in supercharged V8 and the turbo Barra engine were the best made. It was difficult to buy these models as the Law Enforcement Agencies in all states used these as Police Interceptors as well as the GM Commador, however, officers preferred the Ford for comfort, performance and spacious interior and truck. Ford doesn't supply a replacement for the sedan, rather relying on the Ranger, SUV range and the Focus. The high output engines Focus sells from just over AU43, OOO plus. Sales for both Ford and GM vehicle have fallen by 3 - 6% since stopping production. Newspaper reports say that Gm retailers are scrambling to find ways of staying afloat. It's going to be many years before electric vehicles are the only vehicles on our roads. Thank you for your videos, I have solved some issues with a number of brand names vehicles. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

If you're having a problem with your heater the very first thing that you should check out is your antifreeze. make sure that your antifreeze is full. And not from your overflow Reservoir. From your tank itself make sure that the tank is full. If you are still not getting Heat the next thing to check would be your thermostat. make sure that your thermostat is opening and closing properly. if you're still not getting Heat then check your heater core. You should not have to replace your water pump unless you see antifreeze coming out of the weep hole. If you have to do a pressure test on your radiator if it holds pressure your system is fine if it doesn't hold pressure there's something wrong and it may not necessarily be your water pump. After you check your thermostat make sure that it's opening and closing properly because trust me an open thermostat will not let the vehicle heat up properly and a closed thermostat can cause it to overheat now I'm not a licensed mechanic but I've worked on cars from the time I was 5 years old until now and I'm 52 now. No I am not ase-certified if you want somebody that's ase-certified you're going to pay about a hundred fifty to two hundred bucks an hour I do do most of my own work and I have worked on other people's cars as well

Hey Scotty: ). i have question: i have 2013 ford Taurus, and i have heard about the issue of water and oil pump, i have 55k mile and never had issue with any of them until now, how to keep them alive as long as possible? i have changed the coolant 50K mile already. Hint: i heard you'r other video talking about the issue but i like to hear you talking about how to keep both water and oil pumps alive longer time than 150200k mile since i like to keep it. Thanks.

VW has a common platform for making cars, the MQB and they developed the MEB for the electric versions. Seeing how Ford gave up small cars in the US, joining this platform makes more sense than developing their own. Just because something works in Europe it will not necessarily work in the US - bigger distances, bigger roads, different legislation and different expectations. The US infrastructure is not built for small electric city vehicles.

Scotty, Pittsburgh has benefited from Carnegie Mellon University's computer science department (for AI, robotics department, and electrical engineering department. Quite a bit has emerged from those parts of the university. The University of Pittsburgh has also contributed as has the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. It's not the old smoke covered city is used to be. The city is now a high technology center.

Ford's first/early escape hybrids were WAY better than the early 1st & 2nd gen. Priuses. They copied the whole transmission so closely that they had to pay Toyota to build them while still having the manufacturing rights to say they invented it (lol) but the real genius in the escape hybrids was they added a MASSIVE radiator to cool the batteries and thus THEY. NEVER. BLOW. BATTERIES.

Johnny Draco, That's a hoax by Ford and Volkswagen. Another way to laundering money by you know who. Money laundering is the process of making illegally-gained proceeds (i. e, dirty money) appear legal (i. e, clean. Typically, it involves three steps: placement, layering, and integration. First, the illegitimate funds are furtively introduced into the legitimate financial system.
