But if the oil is sealed and the fuel tank is full, and the car is under cover, wouldn't having to drive the car every week simply cause more wear as opposed to it sitting there? I've wondered about this for quite some time. In addition, if the battery is disconnected and is in good condition, it should last quite a while. The only other thing I could suggest if a car isn't being used for some time is to put a cover (flourescent) over the end of the exhaust pipe to prevent moisture getting in.

If your car is going to be sitting around make sure you start it up once in a while especially a day or so before you need it in case the battery is dead. If you have a weak battery and the car sits for a couple weeks without being driven it might not start. And if it does start but the starter doesn't spin the motor all that fast and sounds weird I would say your batteries dying.

Scotty i love your videos, very informative and a lot of fun but get your facts right regarding Jaguar. TATA own Jaguar 100%. Chery build jags in china under licence they do not own any part of the company. All of my jags have been very dependable, apart from regular maintenance ive had no issues with any of them. I guess you americans dont know how to fix em

I may be an 58 year old, stick shift driving, former M1 tanker, but I just don't get why any serious driver would want an electric toy. I have driven a Tesla and was not impressed or would ever want one. You drive a stick, ride in an automatic, and tinker with electrics. Just my 2 cents. Followed Scotty's advice and drive a 2005 manual Tacoma.

They put the trunk in front and thew out the hood. That's an entirely BULL crap car model, it's laughable, they PURPOSELY are not showing the car because that car would cause accidents while you were turning around or ignoring what you thought was the back of the car and it smashed into you in the drivers side door

Electric autos. REALLY SCOTTY. Let's all watch the cancer rates soar. You want me to sit on a giant electromagnetic hot box and fry my sperm and or eggs. No thanks, there are weapons of mass destruction circulating around the world already. Cell phone and infertility pad are dangerous enough already.

When I bought tires for my car years ago, they gave me four options and I took the price and divided it by the miles the tires were supposed to last and picked the lowest one. The tires still look new and they'll probably outlast the car. I've never been happy with the handling though.
