Found 4 currently listed Xterras on eBay Motors ranging from 3, 500. to 6, 000. Of the Xterras that have sold on eBay Motors in Completed Auctions, 2001's have sold between 714. to 4300. (there were no 2000's) and the newest one was a 2012 that sold for 4, 716. 01. These prices are not exactly the nothing Scotty said, but they are low comparitively. IMHO, eBay Motors Completed Auctions are the absolute best Blue Book you'll find because all the prices vehicles sold for there are exactly and precisely what people are willing to pay. No bullsht The prices are not tainted by an agenda like Edmunds, Kelly Blue Book or Carfax. Well, actually they are slightly tainted by eBay and Paypal fees to the seller, but that's it. Plus, I believe the vehicle is covered under eBay's insurance to be what it's listed as. If you buy a vehicle that, for instance, you find to be a flood vehicle, salvage or rebuilt by children, eBay will tell the seller they have to buy it back. Check with eBay on their current buyer protections. And remember, you can still get even better deals than eBay with private parties and some decent used car places.

Hi Scotty, how are you doing? I hope you are doing fine. Scotty, question for you. My BMW 325i manual says that the minimum gasoline octane that I must be using on it is 91 octane and here is my question. I see that there are two different measures for octane. They are RON and MON and my BMW manual does not say with octane measure it is using to measure it. I am confused because lets get the regular gasoline as an example. The regular gasoline is 87 IAD (91 RON. So, is it 91 RON the minimum octane required by BMW? The manual says that I always should be using premium gasoline and I understand the benefits of using premium gasoline to avoid carbon deposits but that isn't really my question because my concern is, is the regular gasoline octanagem enough to not creating earlier combustion? Thank you in advance

Scotty: I have a 1980 Datsun 280zx that I bought for 650. It has a few things it needs but otherwise it's pretty solid. It needs new set of tires, as they were tires from back in 2008. Where do you think is the best place to go for cheap all season tires that will last and handle well? Do you think lightly used tires are a good way to go? There is are a set of Falken all seasons for sale on KSL (my states version of cregslist) for 180, but they were originally a Walmart exclusive. Do you think that they would be alright? Thanks

A lot of smart individuals are buying used cheap, affordable vehicles now and trying to get the ones, that are still solid and aluminum. I was thinking to get a 2005 Mazda 6 sedan with the 3 L Duratec V6 engine with 220 horsepower and the six-speed Aisin automatic transmission with sport, manual-shift mode. They are excellent vehicles, but the V6 model has more power, than the four-cylinder model. The V6 engine is made by Ford. The four-cylinder engine is made by Mazda. What are your thoughts of other vehicles in the market?

It's only smart if you're buying it in cash. If you're financing it, no matter how much the market is crashing it's a no-no. Look at all these people with 500 a month car payments getting laid off. While I'm here with a damn 97 ZJ limited that's paid off and a 92 Mustang GT that's paid off. So by all means if you can afford a new car in cash it's the perfect timing to buy it. If you have to finance it, hell no. No matter how good of an intrest you get.

Scotty So right. I make a living on common sense and logic, not economic theory. I studied it in college, and guess what, those professors, all they ever advocate is, don't question the academia, and low interest rates and quantitative easing saves the day. Now don't get me started on hospital presidents or hospital admins. It blows my mind that adult people can be so unethical, short-sighted and dumb. And I'm only 37

Sorry Scotty, will have to disagree here. If people are forced to stay home and not work for another 3months, there's a real risk of the economy ending up in a deflationary cycle where everyone will have next to zero disposable income so everyone will be cutting back on big spendings from cars to electronics which will lead to more businesses/people generating low revenues. think back to the Great Depression.

Hello Scotty, do you think using de-ionised, or distilled water in your car's radiator along with an anti-freeze instead of tap water and anti-freeze is a good thing? I think it can 1) stop the depositing of limescale into the small capillaries of your radiator 2) Resist rust better by having fewer salt ions to conduct electrolysis (rust is the oxidation of metal and oxidation needs electrolysis to happen.
