I guess after both my parents were nearly killed in car accidents, I wasnt sure if I like cars anymore. I think the design and innovation and safety are top notch now, but the thrill-seekers that I saw all around. The teenage driver deaths I saw around from high speed crashes, just didnt know what to make of it. Every guy around me wants to drive fast, I watched the fast & furious movie series as a kid. I went 70 on a 55 mph highway at night when it was empty. I even hit 100 on another 65 mph highway when it was empty. It was like due to peer pressure because all the guy friends I had kept complaining about slow of a driver I was. It wasnt fun to drive fast, I just saw my surroundings move faster and my heart rate was higher, and I felt very ill afterwards. Guess Im just not wired normally. If Im not paying attention of thinking much about driving, I end up doing the exact speed limit, which annoys everyone behind me. Especially on country roads where theres no place to pull over. Guess Im not a thrill seeker, adrenaline person, which is probably why Im not an interesting person. Just not wired to live without rules and regulation. If I turn onto an empty highway, the default speed Ill do is 50mph unless there are signs posted.

Hey Scotty. Its Matt here. I have a quick question. I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra 4. 7 Lt V8. 470, 000 km northern Alberta Kilometres lol. Lately I have been having an issue that I cannot seem to figure out. When starting my truck in the morning or when I leave work it wont start immediately. it will sputter and barely run like if you were to start a small engine with no choke. But after a few seconds it starts to pick up the RPMs and idle at his normal RPM. Once the vehicles running it accelerates the same everything runs good. And lets say I go into a store and come back out an hour later for example it will start fine. Quick fire up. This issue happens when its cold out and when its hot all the time. But once left overnight again it will hardly start again in the morning and once it does start it sputters and barely wants to run tell enough fuel gets in there. I clean the mass airflow sensor. Also the throttlebody. What would be some other steps I could take or Tests I could do. Also if you want to hear some crazy stories about my TOYOTA dealer trying to rip me off. I have a few!

My engine is just after general repair so I can't (I shouldn't) drive faster than normal. It really tests my self-control now. I can't wait until it would be safe for my engine to use its full power. And I can already tell that after the general repair it wants to go, it has significantly more horsepower than before. So I watch the RPMs all the time. Over 4k, bad, foot off the pedal. It doesn't change the fact I break speed limits often, but I just have to accelerate slowly. BTW, the general repair. it was directly after I tested full power on the road. The engine just died all rattling. I'm so surprised they could even repair it, then - it has so much more power than it did. After like 200 miles the oil is so clean it's barely visible, so I guess everything's OK and soon I'll be able to go for a real ride.

Sir scotty, is this the right place to throw a question for you? Anyway i have a small toyota sedan with dual vvti. around 35K kilometers(still new, somehow the due time for an oil change was neglected and continued to drive it for another 5K kilometers or more. one day while parked at home, the poor car failed to start. a mechanic came and said the engine oil became so sticky it can't start. brought to his shop and came fine with a new oil. he did flushing to clean it. can you please explain. is that enough? Does it cause a serious damage to my engine for keeping the oil too long until it sticks. so far its good. no knocking or any prob. i just want to know if it can leave an unnoticeable prob now and eventually end up worst. thanks.

I Drive a semi truck for a local delivery company, with less people on the road I've noticed the ones on the road are more pushy drive faster and run more red lights, I've gotten yelled at, flipped off and treated like crap more now with less people on the road, cuz funny thing I still can't drive fast or take sharp corners it's out turning wide. For trying to help keep the economy running during all this I was hoping to at least have people be a little patient around me but it's been worse. Hope everyone has a safe day, and if you find yourself slowed by a semi truck, remember the driver just wants to do his job and go back home to his or her family to so please be patient.

I have problem with the c240 m112, the engine stalling, I have changed the ignition coil, because 3 of them is need a new ones. The stalling gone, after 5 mins the engine stalls again, When I speed about 100km/hr the speed wont go up, but the RPM is going up as I kicked down the throttle. I tried to turn of the car, took of the key, start the engine again, the problem gone. But the next morning same problem occurs, I drive about 500 meter, let the engine warmed up, turn off the key, start the engine again, problem is gone. Any idea whats happening?

Hey Scotty, I bought a 2001 Jeep Cherokee with the 4. 0 liter I6 and 235k miles and it makes a kind of clunking sound when I stop and it has this sort of vibration on hard acceleration, Im pretty sure the cause is transmission or transfer case yoke (what exactly it was escapes me at the moment) and I was wondering if thats normal or if I should get that checked out

Speed is always a factor in many accidents all over the world. Everyone just needs to slow down and obey the rules and regulations of the road. It is just that simple for everyone's sake. We have taxi cabs, ride shares and public transportation, everyone can use on a daily basis and just drive when everyone goes out of town or on road trips.
