I ve actually been hoping Scotty would do a little review on this car. I am a HUGE fan. Yes it looks very bold with its big wings, wide arches. but it s a Type R. That s how it should look; all that stuff is functional. Personally I went for an M140i. RWD and a silky smooth 3. 0 turbo charged engine up front. 350bhp. It doesn t look very much on the outside, and it needs a few tweaks, such as a limited slip diff for all that power (will be getting one in the future, but it s a joy to drive and is the last of its kind. They ll never be a 1 series again with RWD and a 6 cylinder turbo engine in it. Also it fly s under the radar due to its subtle looks! Great video Scotty. The Type R is a legend!

speaking of sleepers, i know you don't think much of gm's but i have a 2001 chevy venture van, this thing is a real rust bucket but it keeps starting so i'm driving it. it's a v6 rear whell drive and you'd be amazed how this thing jumps off the line. i blow the doors off of people all the time at green lights and they never see it coming! what are your thoughts on it? i'm possibly more confused than the people i leave in the dust

For all of the Honda haters out there, I own a 2019 GTI and I can tell you with full confidence, that this Honda is very well built. I don't even like Honda, but Type R is very well built. Engine and suspension is over engineered, it's a very suitable price set for what it does. Other manufacturers, would not have this QULITY BUILD and for the same price. No Way.

Heads up kids. insurance will match the car payment. Don't buy one under 25 years old because you think you can afford the payments. I made this mistake. Called on insurance after i bought a sports car and had to sell the car asap. Owned the car for one week and lost 5k. Most expensive week of my life.

i love how he said he would blow the doors off of the c63 merccades. coupe. dont think so scotty that thing has over 450hp 6. 2l v8 prob a 3-4 second car. i know my e550 is 4. 8 and id roast that civic in a line xD oh scotty i thought you knew a thing or two about cars. jks love you long time

Been a fan of Honda motor company ever since I bought my first one back in 2000. 1986 prelude si. Built very well for the time. Handles like it's on rails. Not the best power to the ground, but I've yet to lift the gas pedal through the twisty roads. Still own it today.

So let's sum it up. Honda is largest engine production company in the world, they make great engines. In the gen10 they made perfect typeR with classic honda stuff in it and in the same time they made crappy 1. 5 engine? (fun fact: I own civic sport 2020 1. 5t)

I have a 2017 Civic Type R and I never regret buying it. It puts a smile on my face Everytime I drive, even when I'm not driving it hard! This is an Awesome video Scotty! I've been watching your videos for many years. Keep up the great work!

It IS a toy--it's a 40, 000 toy. You can buy a lot of other cars for 40k this was designed for the Honda fanboys who remain loyal to Honda likely from their first vehicle being one and falling in love with the brand.
