If you have the right processes and make sure that your workers understand and follow them, you can build the best cars anywhere on earth (assuming the parts are all the same quality of course) If cars from country X aren't as good as the same brand and model made in country Y, it's not the fault of the people building them. One problem the US has is a fixation by upper management on this quarter's profits. Yes you've got to pay your bills but when you sacrifice long-term customer satisfaction for short term revenues, you lose credibility and your long term sales suffer. If our corporate heads hadn't taken this tack, WE could be building the best cars in the world.

Hey Scotty, don t know if you ll see this but maybe someone else will know. The rear passenger seats. My Prius has a ton of room for rear passengers. If you re sitting in the front seats you don t have to move them up at all to let the rear passengers have some leg room. How about this Corolla? My Prius also has plenty of head room for the rear passengers. It s a 2015. The newer ones angle down and seem to take up some of that head room. How about the head room for the rear passengers in the Corolla? I guess I should just go check one out but I don t want to go out just yet with this pandemic going on.

Scotty, you didn't even mention the biggest reason to buy one of these, or any Corolla after 2017, which is Toyota safety sense, which is standard on all Corollas and gives you adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, active lane keep assist, automatic headlights with automatic high beams, and pedestrian detection. Those are super expensive options on other cars and Toyota gives them to you standard! The 2020s have TSS 2. 0 which is even better than the original system.

I really wanted to like the Corolla and the Prius, but when I looked at them they were just a little too small for a big guy. I was fine in a 95 Mazda 323 and a 2006 Hyundai Elantra, but the compact Toyotas are just cramped. I'd like to downsize from my Camry to a high efficiency car as my kids grow up and move out, but with the smaller Toyotas being too small and Scottie saying the Toyota is the only company that makes a reliable hybrid it doesn't leave much for choice.

Hey Scotty good video but let me make a point the batteries in those cars need to be changed every 5 to 8 years and it wasn t that long ago to change the batteries in the Honda was AU 8000 and I gotta tell you mate that pays for a lot of fuel. And I m sure Toyota are not going to change the battery bank for free although the price may have come down in recent years you need to put that cost on top of the fuel cost

Scotty, they say about 70 % of Japanese land is radiation poisoned. Russian still check the radiation level of imported car from Japan and sent back some Prius back to Japan 3 months ago because Radiation level too high. I'm not buying anything from Japan anymore including food, Electronics, Tires and cars since Fukushima Accident. How come USA is not checking Radiation level on cars from Japan anymore?

My mom own's a 2012 prius. 9 years later still running fine. Sometimes got 45mpg (usually on traffic with small hills and many junctions, sometimes 57! (On highway if driven at 65mph/110kmh. Even if you drive it at over 90mph/145kmh like crazy, it still do only 40mpg. The only problem it had was a single ABS sensor failed n need to be replace. Its now on 62k miles/100k km

Congrats scotty! U made history. This is your FIRST purchase of a new car, right? Since all the other car purchases u made (in your life) were abt 6, 500. Im happy u got this car-although many others who had your money (including me)-would have gotten a lexus (also made in japan. Love your videos scotty. Be blessed!

I thought hybrids and electric cars accelerated faster. This is good info. I wouldn't want a car that accelerates any more slowly than my 2010 Matrix. It's not the best for gas mileage but I don't drive a lot of miles anyway. I don't think for me the cost of a hybrid will be worth it.
