I own a 2011 Forte koup SX. It's a sharp looking vehicle. Luxurious interior, bigger 2. 4L engine making 175HP, and a better 6 speed automatic transmission vs the 5 speed on the older fortes. It has 200k kms (120k miles) and the only problem its ever had was the radio blew a capacitor (I have a new stereo with an old subwoofer and amp so it was just an excuse to put those in) and just today my fog light switch on the turn signal stock has a loose connection so they wont turn on unless it hold it in a specific spot. So funny my kia has its second ever problem when you upload I just bought the replacement part for 100 Canadian. I love the car very much, very sporty and gets 7. 0L / 100km (34mpg) combined

The battery in my truck goes dead in about 3 days if I don't drive it. When I bought it, I failed to notice a quick disconnect on the battery. 2 pretty good mechanics can't find the parasitic drain, so their advice was, any time you won't be driving it for 3 days, use that quick disconnect on the battery. I checked the drain myself, 46 milliamps, using a one ohm resistor in the circuit and my VOM. This is not all that bad, so I suspect there is an intermittent drain due to a come and go short out somewhere. But 46 milliamps is concerning. Since the mechanics couldn't find it by pulling fuses, I suspect a fault in the alternator which they probably never disconnected. I plan to try that myself.

We have a 2010 Kia optima sitting in driveway. It has 201k miles on it. For a 4 cylinder this car still runs strong even though its not used much. It's just a putt around car to do stuff wont use our regular driven vehicles for. Although it was 1 of our daily use cars when got it with 30k miles on it. No major repairs on it yet. Except - it's been in 2 accidents that shouldve totalled it. Insurance fixed it both times since air bags didnt deploy. 1 of the accidents was bad and involved a deer. That car shouldnt even be here, yet it's still running strong. The deer isn't.

Hi Scotty Can you please answer this one? PLEASE So, I like the looks of those expensive sporty cars. but I hate that they guzzle gas and break part so easily. I dont care if a sports car is fast or not. I just like the style. Can I get a mechanic to put in an old Toyota 4 Cyl engine into the hood of a sports car? Is it possible? Can I go to an auction and buy a dead engine corvette for example, pay a mechanic to swap out a 1994 Toyota celica engine for the dead one? I want a fancy car with a regular good engine

Never buy toyota and never buy honda, they get stolen very often. Was mentioned in this video that the camry and civic got stolen off the same driveway. Almost guaranteed that honda and toyota models will get stolen. Instead get a Hyundai, Kia, it will be there on the driveway, it's not a car that gets stolen, so when you need to go somewhere Hyundai / Kia will be there. In the next town close to my town, honda and toyota gets stolen very often, especially when you go deeper parts in that town, this is a fact.

I can't get over how much of a turd the Hyundai/KIA cars were 5 years ago compared to the Japanese. It seems the tables have turned for Toyota/ Lexus overall in terms of reliability and have gone down hill since the previous generation. I am looking at buying a used 2019 Mazda 3 over anything Toyota builds because of that reason and that its made in Japan still with better quality parts.

I have a 2010 Kia Rio and it's complete trash. I got it with 47, 000 miles one owner and she took care of it. It currently has 100 and I had to put over 7, 000 dollars in the car. Still has alot of problems pretty sure the transmission is going out as well. So no Kia's are crap my Honda's where better cars I might even go as far and say my Ford escape was better and I hate Ford's

09 Kia Optima owner here, buy a Honda or a Toyota from that time frame instead. Parts are VERY VERY expensive, for example the clutch costs 2k to replace unless you Frankenstein the parts, alternator was 320 and nobody has them, and if your muffler gets a dent or a hole GOOD LUCK. Theres a reason Ive owned my car for years and have only seen 2 other ones on the road.
