Scotty l took your advice and got a 2018 Rav4. I totally love this little car, it's fun to drive. Rides real nice and gets great gas mileage! Unfortunately I'm not happy with the service I've received. I just now left the Toyota dealership in New Castle, Pa. Had my last Toyota care service there today. The tech raised the car up, rotated the tires, reset the service light and he was done! Thanks to you l have my car on the 5, 000 mile oil change schedule. I have changed the air and cabin air filters 3 times myself. I personally feel Toyota builds the best but the dealerships around my area suck and l have been to 3 different ones. The dealership l bought the car from l will never return to, even if they offered something free! My family has 5 Toyota's all together. We love them. Thanks for all the education you have given me over the years. I think your Grandfather is proud of you!

Hey pal, great video as usual. I have a question for you please; Some months back I had a P0171 and P0174 CEL code on my 08 lexus IS350 to indicate that my car was running lean on bank 2. Further down the line I changed both upstream 02 sensors and the codes went away. However I noticed the SFT and LFT on bank 1 are 2. 3% and 10. 1% respectively whereas that of bank 2 are 2. 3% and 14. 8%. I've checked under the hood for hissing noises or leaks but nothing. The car runs great however the mpg (14/17mpg) isn't very good. Please what does this indicate?

Beware of wiring harnesses on GM vehicles, absolute nightmare. During a visit from suppliers we asked why doesn't Honda or Toyota have these wiring harnesses problems when you guys supply them and us (GM). get ready for the answer, the supplier rep said you guys get 3 wiring harnesses for the same price Toyota and Honda pay for 1 wiring harness And when I say they are bad, I mean it. During assembly we scrap bunch of them because they fall apart during assembly, let alone few years of driving.

I owned a 2008 Prius and my mom owned a 2010. The 2010 got to 100k miles and the brake actuator went out we were told it would be 4K to get it fixed we got rid of it but then 2 years later when my 2008 Prius got to 80k miles the same thing the brake actuator and it s so scary when it goes out because the brake go out completely! I still say it should have been recalled! These cars get great gas mileage but what you save on gas you put right back in the car and more! I do not recommend a Prius

My mom hit 185, 000 miles in her 2010 Prius when the battery failed, She then passed it down to me when I got my license and I kept driving it until nearly 300, 000 miles when the engine blew itself to pieces on the highway. Someone at the Toyota dealership wants to buy it off of us and my mom plans to put that money towards the payments on her 2018 Prius Prime it was a really good car until it died a dramatic death

I had the same lights and the foreign object code happen to my 2010 prius too. The dealership replaced the bearing assembly because the sensor is built in the bearing assembly so they had to replace the whole thing, that didn't fix it so then they replaced the wiring that connected to that wheel and that fixed it! not sure if it was a combination of both or could have just been the wiring.

Totally agree on your notion of living with it. I usually buy cars under 1500 and drive it till they die. Then I get 250 from the junkyard and put it towards the next one. So for 1250 I get 2-5 years of transportation. I ve been driving 26 years and have had my share of nice cars but I ve come to the conclusion that a Ferrari is a Ferrari for 6 months. After it just becomes a car.

Fact
Toyota has made junk since the late 90s. EPA regulations have now destroyed all modern cars. . Parts that should last the life of the car now fail constantly because they are made in CHINA and MEXICO. . And they require their parts suppliers to supply the same part each year CHEAPER than the year before so eventually you have a throw away car. . Which is what all cars today are.

Back in 2009 when Ford introduced Fusion Hybrid cars, the service manager was looking for people who wanted to learn how to work on them. I volunteered to take courses on them. 10 years later, I feel sorry for any customer that buys one of those cars. Great cars and reliable, but when they rack up mileage, they cost a fortune to fix.
