Hahaha. Had a time of my life on this video. Currently I drive a 3 series, which is a second one as I enjoyed the first one soo much that I bought the 3 litre one but had in the past had a few Mitsubishis(carisma, shogun and colt, a Toyota Celica gti, Ford Focus, Alfa 159 3. 2l, Saab 9-3 2. 0T, Civic and currently Honda Crv (wifes) I can TOTALLY disagree with this opinion. Neither, I say again NEITHER car mentioned above has driven even 50% good and comfortable as a basic 3 series with a 2 litre petrol engine. Yes, Bms are expensive and complicated but so is a vacuum cleaner or a mobile phone Yes they will break eventually and need a repair but the experience you get from driving them is by faaaar superior to 80% of other brands That is the reason people buy them, full stop Broom or a stationery phone will last you a lifetime as well - lets all go back to 1950 like this man suggest shall we? :) Good luck to those who believe that a cheaper brand will give you more FUN than a Beemer. Fun is the key word here so please spare me statistics on reliability: )

I actually seen many Mercedes last a very long time the reason these cars are faulty is cause The people that buy them dont know a lot about cars and oil changes and maintenance they change the oil every 10k never change the breaks or check fluids then sell them at like 50k miles to someone who will do the same thing I own a 2000 c230k and its been the most reliable car I have ever knowned note that this is the last c-clas to be very simple after Mercedes changed their body styles everything just went full computers my car is at 105k miles and its going strong and all I do is basic maintenance idk about the newer benzs as thos heave way too much electronics but anything 2000 and before are solid built cars plus Mercedes are among the most safe on the road the one thing I hate about Japanese cars and GM is they total on minor accidents I saw a 2012 mustang hit a 2005 Mercedes and the mustang was totaled while the Benz just had a dent

Well scotty, I am Canadian - purchased a new 2014 BMW 328 X drive. I am up to 190, 000 km and a fuel sensor and the nav was replaced before 15, 000 km. Everything else is good but I replace the oil every 10, 000 to 12, 000 Km. I am hoping it continues like this. I did however replace several of those run flat tires because the cannot be repaired - that is what I was told. The fuel economy is amazing, the ride is sweet, the 19 inch summer tires are a bit harsh over potholes - I would stick to 17 inch or 18 inch tires, the motor is noisy on startup but has a nice sound once heated up. I kind of love my BMW - and this is someone was a Lexus fanatic until my 2007 Lexus IS 350 started burning oil like crazy and that Is wanted premium gas - the BMW TAKES mid level octane, I believe the key to BMW LOVE is not to drive those engines like a lu attic and gentle regular care might the sweet potion for BMW AFTER ALL,

Does this advice apply to my 1997 BMW Z3 1. 9L with Auto trans? Im the 3rd owner, bought it in 2010 with 78, 000 mi. for 6000. It now has 124, 000 mi. Ive pumped about 2000 in parts/labor on it (4 new tires, front end alignment, front brake rotors and all 4 wheels brake pads replaced, radiator fluid flush/change, self oil/filter changes, new plastic rear window, fixed notorious wiring harness snapage in trunk, fixed jacked up drivers side electric window alignment (broken plastic parts inside door which were glued/plastic welded back together and works fine now. Other than these minor issues this particular BMW has been quite reliable. Not alot of plastic Engine parts on my old Beamer. I havent heard Scottys opinion on the old Z3s and Z4s or the 80s/90s BMWs and Mercedes. The old BMW Z3s are rated as quite reliable cars. Ive owned a 1996 Mazda Miata and my Z3 is a MUCH BETTER car.

Its sad that in America you cant enjoy a quality BMW or a quality Mercedes Benz. Here in Europe they are high quality cars and they actually do last a long time without major issues. For example, weve had three different BMW 3-series and all were rock solid with absolutely ZERO issues, all ofc bought brand new. Ive seen them on the road still going after heavy use as our taxi (and knowing how much i personally gave them the beans. However the 5-series is not that reliable. Or the X1, oh boy now the X-models are crap. But the regular EUROPEAN 3-series with the DIESEL engines are built to last. Same applies to Mercedes Benz diesels, they run for ages still, at least the 200cdi: s and 220cdi: s. Although i wouldnt ever buy a Mercedes Benz, since i dont like them. Oh and here in Europe we all know Audi is the least reliable.

Have had my BMW N54 335 for twelve years have only replaced rocker gasket and water pump, once. It is running 700hp with mods so much more reliable and quicker than any GM or FORD I have ever owned particularly with mods and parts, believe it or not, are so much cheaper as well but then again I do all my own work IE full set of sport disc and pads and sensors 320 shipped to Australia from the U. S within 2 weeks. My car looks like a run of the mill 335 but when that mustang or Camaro even a corvette try to have some fun with the little old man in a BMW you can imagine the look on their face when they get left behind a new AMG 63 Tried once showing his girl how good his car was I think she was laughing at least thats what I saw in the rearview mirror so if you know how to turn a spanner these cars are so much fun.

As a previous employee for Mercedes Ive seen it all. Everyday there were 20 +/- alignment jobs because if they hit a pothole, the alignment goes off center. Only 1 technician at our massive dealership owned a Mercedes. Employees got a hefty discount so let that sink in. He bought a pre owned S class for 5K. Ive seen brand new 100K S class models towed in with less than 2k miles. Ive seen brand new 200K SLR models in the shop for weeks due to electrical failures, then fixed, then its back in the shop for weeks again. Ive seen previous gen C class models with plastic door pull handles broken off on both driver side and passenger side. Replace sun visor on C class? 190 plus labor. But they are safe, quiet and have gorgeous leather interiors.

I have a friend who loves BMWs. His current Lease is like 1, 500 a month, granted he doesnt even use it. He leases the car just to not have an empty driveway. And I asked him why pay so much money for a Lease? Wouldnt you rather buy it and own it? And he said no, because 3 years from now, the Car will be worth 60% of what I pay for it and in the long run all the maintenance the car needs will be the price of a brand new car all over again. Then I looked at him and said So I should Lease a BMW? He said nah, you cant really afford it, go Buy a Honda SUV or something and save your money, dont waste your time or money on a BMW, its just a car who cares.

So now the two finest mainstream car brands are bad too? Whats your problem scotty? So far Mercedes hyundai kia nissan dodge chrysler Ram all General Motors brands BMW and anything NOT TOYOTA is BAD. THIS IS FALSE MISLEADING AND WRONG. Either you DO NOT KNOW HOW to work on anything buy toyota because you havent taken the time to do so or. you are IN THE BAG for TOYOTA. paid off or youve had bad experiences because of your lack of understanding and you are BITTER. Like and old shrew just pissed at everything not Toyota. Your bias is obvious but to then bash and trash so many non toyotas. that just sucks.
