Regarding bad smells coming from the ventilation system, one problem drivers have to be wary of re-circulation. Recirc was only intended to be used when driving through stinky areas and to achieve maximum air conditioning. But many drivers use recirc, instead of fresh air, which causes window fogging and icing, and can make the driver drowsy. But one of the worst side effects of recirc is if people smoke while recirc is on, then the smoke is drawn in and sticks to the a/c system. From then on whenever the a/c is used it emits smoke stink.

2017 Kia Forte - you have me alerted to auto trans, on a Korean car. My mechanic suggested Wichita based BG 0 they guarantee their expensive additive / flushing for auto trans, to 4000 Your opinion on BG product for longevity of my Korean trans. and that guarantee. It might cosr 600 for one treatment. I do not have the credit for a major trans issue, should it bite the dust. I live week to week, what do I do now that I am paranoid about auto trans? psychologist? , BG, or trade the 2017 in for a much higher mileage Toyota?

1: 10 Not true, my car doesnt run the same cold as it does when the engine is warm, thats not a question, it is fact, and my car isnt from the 1940s but the late 90s. It is also a known fact that oil flows better under hot weather and thickens under cold temperatures. Cold weather can cause motor oil to flow either too slowly, or not at all, damaging the cylinder walls and losing power. And that can take a toll on your engine. Thats why allowing the engine to warm up a little before accelerating is still ideal.

Scotty I used to work in a warehouse with hundreds of brand new cars and no real ventilation system other than the 2 roll up doors. Every day I would feel like garbage in there. My sinuses would go haywire. I guess I know why now. Sadly the manager there was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. As sad as it may be, the years of being trapped in there with all those cars might be the culprit. As much as I love cars it is important to know the potential danger they can propose to your health.

Scotty I had question about catalytic converters and resonators. Maybe if my friends recommended me to completely remove the catalytic converter and resonators because we dont have a pollution code where I live. Pros: Better gasMore powerMore soundIm not sure about the cons, only thing I could come up with was messing up the original flow of the car, or not keep it the it was supposed to be. Please let me know if you would recommend this, why or why not. Thank you

The h2 wasnt the best but you cant really talk about the 6. 0 v8 thats a good motor. The lt and ls motors are one thing gm are good at making. Especially the pre cylinder deactivation engines. The the 6. 0 was replaced with the 6. 2 when gm started putting the cylinder deactivation tech in their engines. Thats when they started having issues. The car h2 might fall apart around the drivetrain but it will most likely keep running, and im a ford fan.

I think most people warm the car up for heat in the winter. Ive got a neighbor with an old mid 50s Chevy (beautiful car) and he sits in the car and warms it up every time he starts it, shorter in the summer, longer in early spring and the fall, and the car goes away for the winter. As long as the catalytic converters has warmed up in a modern car, which has only ever taken under a minute even in 0 degree F type temps, you dont have to worry

. Also, heres a great tip that cured my car sickness problem. Get all 4 wheels balanced. When I bought a new (old) car, I suddenly developed car sickness. It was only after I bought some new tyres and got the wheels balanced that I noticed my car sickness was cured. I guess any small vibrations from the rear wheels through the car that i didnt notice must have been enough to make me feel sick. Hope that helps others.

Thanks Scotty Its obvious you are helping people out. The more videos I watch of yours, all the more you stick in my head. My wife knows my auto background and tells me to shut up or who cares. Im no mechanic but have spent fifty years in the business and like all things, I love learning something new. I did sell Toyota vehicles in 76-77 when the Celica made Motor Trends Import of the Year. A big fan of Toyota.
