It doesn't matter whether a person drives their car or not. Insurance is a product you choose to purchase or not. You could let your car sit 364 days per year and take it out one day and total it. It's a blanket policy. When you buy life insurance you don't receive a payment until you croak. And YOU don't get the money, your beneficiary does. You may get a little back because of good health practices, but insurance is not a product like an apple that you can buy and consume. You wouldn't get your money back if you didn't eat the apple. And no insurance company will give you a full 1/6 of your money back every 2 months. If they did that for everyone they would go out of business as everyone would get a total refund of their purchase price. They would go under! And how does the insurance company know you haven't driven the car? And there is always the possibility the car could be damaged without driving it say, while parked. Your car could be vandalized or stolen, or perhaps a tree could fall on it. 22 bucks back is better than nothing. And Scotty's outrage about this is misplaced. Guess he just loves his mom.

To the person who's fob is not working, the fob itself can be bought cheaply, and can be reprogrammed at home usually to be able to open all doors, just that. You will probably not be able to start the car with a new fob though because those require a chip inside called a Transponder to be programmed to the car itself. If your old fob does not start the car, the transponder may be missing from inside it or it is not programmed to the car. The process of programming a transponder is what costs hundreds as it requires expensive OBD2 equipment or separate Key Transponder Programmers to do the job. These products themselves cost a couple hundred and a lot of them are model specific, so buying it yourself can be tricky as well.

I don't have liberty mutual, but I have progressive and they gave me back 19 or so for the month, and they're doing that on a per month basis, for a certain amount of months. Can't remember how many. The thing is though, I believe what the amount comes down to is laziness and lack of care for any insurance company reimbursing customers. She is in your family, so you know her driving habits. Her insurance company doesn't. They would have to do a close check for thousands of people to determine a reasonable amount, which they obviously won't put the resources into, so they come up with a blanket amount of money for everyone.

Yet if you just have liability and get into a wreck with an illegal (even if it's their fault) you have to pay your own repair while they just get a 400 dollar ticket to a name that ain't even them, to top it off you see they fixed their automobile fixed within a week while your still looking for a reasonable shop to repair you vehicle. Not only seen this happen plenty times it's infact happened to family members. Hell I've even seen insurance companies try to scam people out of and it wasn't even their fault in a accident. Have Came to a conclusion that their just hungry, go figure

Hey Scotty, I have a question but first off I just want to thank you for everything. I constantly watch your videos and I ve come to a conclusion, you re awesome! My question is that out of all of your videos I ve watched, I ve never heard you talk about the Honda Fit. What do you think of the 2018-2020 models? They do have CVT transmissions but do you think that they re good cars / reliable? Btw, sorry to hear about your mom, that s a dirty shame!

My insurance compay said they pay people for being good drivers. I never had a acident for the first fifteen years of having my driver's license. They gave me back five dollars. The brake failed on a guy truck, and he his my car, while it was sitting in my driveway. His insurance refused to pay, and i had to take them to court. I had made no claim on my insurance, and they still raised my insuranc becaue my car was in an accident.

Anyone notice the unsafe driving technique in the SLIPPERY MUTUAL commercial? Passing a biz card at speed. Very unsafe. Had them long ago, NEVER again. They are horrible. Progressive refunded 20% to me. Your mom got like 1. 3% shame on them. Also piece of junk Altimas with flying hoods, you can't make this stuff up. Praying Shitsan goes out of business as they are horrible too.

In all fairness what made you think that the insurance companies would actually do the right thing? Nothing from history says that. Hell insurance companies arent paying out to places that had pandemic insurance that had to close because of coviod 19. They are scam artists so I encourage people to get what you can out of those pirates

I was a Liberty Mutual customer for over 25 years. Don t make the mistake I did. They had personalized customer support which to me was worth a premium. Now they you just call into a call center sweat shop with no understanding of products I decided I can get that or better much cheaper.
